It had been a few years since I was last here for my Aunt's 55th Birthday Meal, and was looking forward to it as she suggested going back for her 60th as we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals last time.
Respectfully, it just doesn't have it anymore. Service was prompt, staff were nice, menu had a reasonable selection, but that's about it for positives. Nothing was "bad". I would describe everything else as crippling mediocre.
The food was not restaurant quality to fit the restaurant pricing, firmly in the "Mum can't be assed tier", I ate it and certainly wasn't poisoned, but not a bite excited me or made me glad to have made the trek down for the meal.
Bland, grey, whatever, fine? Are all words that come to mind. Not recommended but don't get the pitchforks...

A fantastic dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome, they were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect place for an amazing meal. The food was nothing short of exceptional. My Partner and I each had starters, mains and dessert! You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients, especially the Steak and Salmon We couldn’t stop eating the amazing food put down in front of us! Went for lunch with a friend and was surprised to find we were the only customers in the lounge/dining room area at 12:30pm. We sat at a table looking out over the golf course, so we had beautiful views. Internally the Club was lovely - clean and tastefully decorated with a welcoming hallway. Staff were well presented and friendly. Our food arrived quickly - 1 soup of the day (celery & cauliflower) with a slice of wheaten; 1 chicken goujons. Enjoying the atmosphere (another couple of tables were now occupied), and not having to rush off - we decided to indulge ourselves further by ordering Pavlova and chocolate fudge cake… followed by tea/coffee.
