This hidden gem is an absolute must. From the outside it looks like a quaint old cottage and the architecture is beautiful to look at. The inside remides me of somewhere you would go to write you life story and feel relaxed doing it. I was greeted by 2 friendly smiling staff who immediately made me feel welcome and the smell of the fresh made food is so good. It was hard to pick from the menu as I would have happily ate everything, but in the end I settled for the smash burger and fries. Normally I hate fries with a passion but these were warm crunchy potato filled parcels coated in a heavenly cajun seasoning that paired perfectly with the garlic mayo dip. The star of the show was the smash burger. It was grilled to perfection. The caramelised edged of the beef was like heaven and when you got a bite of it along with the bacon, pickles and sauce your taste buds danced and celebrated life. This is easily the best burger I've had in the ballymena/Antrim/Randalstown area and gives Bunsen burger in belfast and absolute kicking. I can't wait to come back with my wife and kids. Please, please please do your and your taste buds a favour and visit this hidden treasure trove of flavour in...

There was nothing special about this place. The staff lacked personality, and the environment was dirty and overly noisy, likely due to the building's structure. The food was not great either; there's nothing more frustrating than paying for a meal you know you could make better yourself.

I also noticed that I was overcharged for certain item. I calculated the total in my head and requested a receipt, which had not been offered. When I confronted the staff about the overpayment, she apologise and refunded me the difference.

Additionally, upon seating the table was dirty, and had to request a staff member to clean it. They sprayed cleaning products on it without consideration for the children and adults nearby. They also set a dirty white basket on a another table with people seated on it without any consideration. They looked disgusted.

My poached eggs were overcooked. Again I had to confront a staff member as no one came to check in. They did replaced them, but I honestly just ready to leave and get my money back.

It was quite disappointing, especially since Randalstown could really use...

Had seen it on tiktok, and it looked really good, however that's were the similarities ended.my wife had the bacon Benny,I had a fry, waited 20 minutes which is acceptable as there was 12 other people waiting. Coffee and tea arrived after 10 minutes, coffee was nice but was cold by the time our breakfast arrived, eggs Benny, hard eggs, cold sauce, over cooked salty bacon, half a plate of uncooked/wilted spinach leaves, looked good on arrival but was the opposite for taste. The fried breakfast, overcooked salty bacon, anaemic potato bread, eggs served on sourdough which wasn't toasted,or fried, beans and mushrooms cold, the only hot items on the plate were the two deep fried sausages. Was £25 for the two breakfasts and drinks, pricey enough, hopefully this review is taking in the right way,its not a personal attack, but if you have a strong social media presence then the expectation is pre built, and as we we were asked to pay in advance we had no opportunity to pass on our complaints and no one came to the table at the end...

This was my first time at Rover it was recommended by a friend, sad to say it was so disappointing! I ordered sourdough with scrambled eggs, below is what I received, the sourdough was not toasted, just a dry piece of bread with a so called scrambled egg on top, I did try a few bits then went to counter to say I wasn’t happy with the brunch and handed the food back to the female server, who didn’t even ask why or would I like something else instead I did ask for a slice of toasted sourdough, didn’t want to chance anything else to be honest! So for my brunch I ended up with one slice of sourdough with lemon curd jam, that’s the only jam they had, by the way I didn’t pay for the one slice of toasted sourdough in my opinion I paid them enough for the awful food I received with no offer of a refund, so won’t be rushing back.
