Suburban Coffee — Restaurant in Northern Ireland

Very poor customer service regarding customers that need a support dog due to mental health. Went in with my dog was told I’m not allowed in with he quite abruptly I advised as she was a support dog and the lady left. The lady then returned asking for proof and documentation In regards to my support dog which I’ve never been asked for and find that very confrontational. Then another one of her colleagues came over and told me I wasn’t allowed my dog in the coffee shop and I said don’t worry I’ll be leaving but I told your colleague also and showed her proof that she was a support dog. I Have mental health issues and find it difficult to leave the house and especially any confrontation this is why I have the support dog to help me with my day-to-day living and this has really set me back I will not be returning there and I think if anybody with the same sort of situation as myself should avoid as they are clearly not living in the...

The cafe itself is nice and in a good location. The food was basic but perfectly acceptable - a chilli cheese chicken toasted sandwich was overly sweet (too much of the sweet chilli sauce) and the cheese only half melted. Nonetheless, nothing to worry about.

The real let-down is the coffee. I had a mocha which was a watery, flavourless mess, and my dad’s “flat white” was like a gigantic weak cappuccino - but of the quality you would expect on a Ryanair flight at the end of a long day when the attendants have lost the will to live. Needless to say, neither of us finished the drinks.

I was sitting outside in the only designated seat and table left, drinking a lovely latte. Was approached by the waitress and told that if someone was getting money out of the bank machine behind me I was to move out of the way. Very unpleasant experience and made me feel very unwelcome as I sat on a designated table set out by the coffee shop themselves .I felt this to be highly inappropriate. If were the seat was located by the shop themselves was a problem, the table should not have been there and I should not have been made feel as if I was dishonest due to where I sat.
