ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. we went last nite Friday when it was curry nite. Just went for a pint,( so I thought ). But after the first pint went down I couldn't take the smell no more. The food and the curry coming out to be served not only looked good but smelled good too. OK second pint I gave in and ordered off the menu I was not disappointed , the first thing I had was the best onion bargies I had ever had. The Mrs had the samosas, beautiful. We were disappointed with the Sunday lunches the meat on one meal was tough, maybe the end piece, the roast potatoes were not cooked properly they were raw in the middle. (We overheard 2 other tables saying the potatoes wernt cooked).To he fair we did complain were then served some more that had clearly been deep fried to speed up the cooking process. The cherry cake was burnt on the bottom and the waffle was so hard it was inedible. They did take the price of that of the bill, but nobody came to apologise (manager etc) we paid and left. We usually have to get taxis for somewhere to take them to eat as a lot of establishments won’t blend despite taking our own blender. however last night a friend told us about the Whitestone so as it is in walking distance we decided to walk round. I telephoned prior asking if they would blend and when they said ‘yes’ we decided to eat also. the food and service was brilliant we will definitely become locals now even if it’s just for a drink in the garden. ...
