Definitely one of my favourites! We go here often. Food is bang on each and everytime. Great service all round a gorgeous pub! Highly recommended...ive edited this as we had a terrible experience on Sunday whilst celebrating our anniversary. We wanted a few drinks before eating. We was rushed to order and it was literally 1 minute between courses as we like to rest and let the food settle. Didn't even get offered the dessert menu as others sat ne t to us did! The manager Chris and Barry was rude to us, pulled her face after asking for another drink whilst being rushed to eat as they wanted the table for someone else. She spoke to the waitresses in a very unprofessional way infront of the customers. We felt very uncomfortable and it has impacted our views of this place which is unfortunate as i regularly choose to go here with family and friends, and i have always recommended it. Finally the bill came and the items was incorrect to what was ordered. When we are paying customers we expect to be treated in a friendly manner with respect and to be left to enjoy our time, drinks and food without feeling I was being pushed out the door!! Not acceptable not professional and very disappointed in chris and Barry for their cold bad attitudes towards us. Im also informing the...

I recently spent a weekend in Denshaw in a local cottage with the extended family to celebrate a birthday.

Sadly the weather was so bad throughout the weekend, I half expected to see Noah working on his Ark!

To escape the rain, we decided to spend a couple of hours down the pub with our 3 dogs. The Junction Inn is a lovely oldy worldy style pub, selling a decent selection of drinks at reasonable prices.

Whilst in there I sampled a fish goujon sandwich which was grand! I'm not a massive fan of Tartar sauce, but here it was beautiful!

We enjoyed the food so much, we came back the next day for a Sunday Dinner. Everything we ate (Lamb Shank, Venison, Roast Beef) was delicious, the service is cracking, the girls waiting tables are so polite, they're a credit to the pub and their parents.

This pub loves dogs, it even has a sign outside welcoming our canine friends! So it was a shock to find out the next day someone had complained about the dogs. It takes a special sort of person to come to a country pub in the North of England and moan about it welcoming dogs.

If you like food, booze and dogs you will love The Junction Inn.

If you don't, I suspect you maybe...

Disappointed. Booked a table, 5 mins after we arrived we were pushed to order because 'there was another party after us'. Drinks service was quick, so was starters. Huge delay until mains, however the food was very hit and miss. Chicken Wings were disgusting and hardly had any chicken on, lamb koftas were dry and tough, sausages seemed freezer bought rubbish, pie was stacked but the pastry inedible, chicken katsu had one good bit of chicken and one terrible bit. Puddings were a bit bland. Worst of all the maitre'd was just strange. She had no positivity, didn't ask how we were or how it was, couldn't seem to get rid of us quick enough, she was just a very strange presence and by the end, we all thought we had pissed her off without having done anything wrong - even the kids were well behaved. The rest of the waitresses were lovely and willing to help. Very disappointed as we were really looking...

We stopped off here for a drink after a walk in the surrounding area, initially having our drink in the sunny beer garden out at the front before finishing off inside once it got a bit cooler. The beer garden at the front is on the roadside but is well maintained and has some nice views of the hills just behind - also seems like it's quite a sun trap 🌞 Once inside, we were so impressed with the decor of the pub, a perfect mix of old world charm, inviting and cosy with very clear attention to detail paid throughout. We will definitely be back for a meal in the future and couldn't recommend visiting here enough. Friendly staff who were also lovely to our dog who was welcomed into certain areas of the pub too. (Dog friendly. Beer garden. Family friendly. Pub meals.)

My wife and I had just visited Stanedge Tunnel and popped in for a quick lunch. Well were not disappointed. My wife orded a hot Beef sandwich with a portion of chips and I orded a Falafel Salad, again with a portion of chip. To be honest, I did not need the extra chip, the salad was big enough. Both dishes were good size and fresh. The salad was not just iceberg lettus and toms. The service was good and friendly. Would I recommend and return, Definitely on both counts.

Not been for a while and used to be a lot better. Cider tasted flat . For some reason they like to save the proper glasses for beer on the top shelf and serve half pints in those awful long plain glasses made for soft drinks . Please don’t do that it’s very off putting . Half a craft should be in a proper beer glass you have lots of them so use them. Food just ok used to be a lot better not sure what’s changed
