When for a meal with my family , the pub was very busy , there was 5 of us and one is my autistic child , we managed to get seated , the que for food was very long as there was woman who was using the app for the free drink and didn't realize you had to order a meal to get it so ordering food took over 20 mins, the two ladies behind the bar were rushed off there feet , poor women they was running around serving , taking food out and clean tables please give them more staff this is unacceptable for a big company to have very little staff in a pub like this , we waited over a hour for our food , my child was very stressed and by time food came , she was to anxious to eat and we had to eat our food and go as we been in there way to long for my child to handle . All in toll this should of just been a quick bite to eat and then leave , but turned into a 3 hour meal , there also only one member of staff in the kitchen , for all those people , and it was so busy people from the bar was coming into the restaurant to get there drinks . Management should be ashamed at the way they run this place and the way they are treating there staff . Hats off to the two women tho , they carried on and pushed though . Your lucky to have staff like that when you treat them so poorly and over work them , one of the women already said she was finishing at 3 but was going to have to stay due to no staff , shocking !! Have been going their a lot for many years and a couple of times iv had an off steak, not made to cook to order etc but I go back to keep giving them a chance and i get on well with the managers but this will definitely be my last today ordered a mix grill not on a skillet, the food come out and you could tell that it had been on the skillet they made a mistake and put it on a plate thinking I wouldn't notice but I did they left loads of the skillet onions and my steak was not cooked rare it was more medium, when I complained the young girl stood at my table tapping her fingers while I checked my steak like I was keeping her just a very rude attitude. My food come back out chicken was very crispy and like the gammon still had the skillet onions on it steak was cold on the inside and blue instead or rare and very fatty so I didn't eat any of this i had my chips my side dish and a sausage finished and left. I did not see the point in complaining again as my partner had nearly finished. The young girl said the chef send his apologies when she brought out the 2nd plate ..but he just moved everything onto another plate like my food didnt matter and put an uncooked steak on the plate. We went for my sons birthday and he and my partner had the fish and chips when it arrived it looked really nice and a very good sized portion. When they cut into it instead of being nice and flakey as fresh fish should be is was all mushy we complained to the waitress and all she said was that the food was probed so it was cooked but she said that she would speak to the chef, she came back after a while and just said the same again and we said that we know that it was cooked but it looked and tasted horrible and wasn't what we were expecting for the price so she said that she would get the manager after what seemed like ages and everyone else had finished their meals which were OK not brilliant but edible he arrived and said exactly the same thing bearing in mind that the fish hadn't been touched apart from one bite he said that we couldn't have a refund which we argued with eventually he agreed to give 2 deserts which we agreed to.
