This was me second time at Amani. The food, as expected was incredible. I ordered the sirloin steak with a curry sauce and pilao rice. The steak was cooked to perfection. The fat was incredibly juicy and the sauce had just the right amount of spice to get your taste buds tingling but not too spicy so it overwhelms your mouth. Some may get the impression that the portion are small but I can assure you, it is spot on. I would also recommend a side of garlic nan to accompany your dish. As for dessert, I would highly recommend the sambuca flamed gulab jamun and vanilla ice cream. It's light yet packed with sweet and rich flavour.

High quality food in a really nice setting. Place looks like it has recently been fully renovated and the smaller details have been considered. From the food, presentation and even the plates have been thought of to a detailed level. Waiters and owner are nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend

I can not fault Amani, the staff go above and beyond! Their service is fantastic, the restaurant is spotless, and the food is sensational! 😍🍴

I booked in for a Bollywood night. There was 4 of us, 2 people are meat eaters and 2 people are vegans. When I booked online as suggested by a member of staff when I called, as if they couldn't do it over the phone (all the bookings where hand written on a piece of paper when we got there, oh and the only thing that was noted is that i paid £20 deposit but not the fact that our table required vegan based menu) in the notes section online I specifically said we will require a vegan menu. When we were seated at the table the waiter didn't give us a drinks menu or a set food menu for us to look at. When they served food I questioned about which one was a vegan option, the staff looked very confused they didn't know what I was talking about. Asked to speak to a manager, the waiter didn't even bother getting the manager so I had get up to find someone only to discover that the manager was not available as he was in the kitchen busy, im sure that he was completely unaware that there is a table that required a vegan option menu. A lovely female member of staff came out from the kitchen assuring me that there is vegan based menu, trust me there wasn't. The starter was ok, but to have 2 potato dishes, cauliflower and lentils as a main with £40 ahead and no desert, for a restaurant its pretty appalling. The menu for meat eaters was ok, really not worth £40 ahead. Now we get to the service... poor doesn't even describe it. Chef came across as having an attitude every time he attended the table. It did not feel very welcoming or accommodating towards our needs, and it came across as a bother. After the mains We were not even asked about deserts, I had to get up and ask if there is any deserts to come, 2 of us had a desert, which was ok, too frozen couldn't even use a spoon but for vegan option all we got As a "desert" is coffee black, couldn't even have milk as had no other milks available.£80 for a standard of vegan options we had was absolutely outrageous. Most waiters didn't really understand if you asked them a simple question, all we got is I go and get someone but that someone never came. I never write reviews because opinions do vary, but after this meal I was extremely disappointed with the restaurant atmosphere, attitude and just simply not valuing their customer. There was only one lady that worked there behind the bar that actually was helpful...

I was hesitant to try this resteraunt as Im not the biggest fan of Indian cuisine, but my choice ment little in our party of six. I have to say, I'm glad it didn't. I was more than impressed by the standard of service and quality of food provided. I ordered a Chili Beef Bhuna at the recommendation of the waiter and I'm very glad I did. The beef was lean, cooked to perfection and not spoiled by any overpowering spices or sauce, everything being seperate on the plate and I could mix it up as I chose. The staff too were more than happy to cater for another fussy eater in our party, offering them non menu food or a change to the regular dishes. At the end of our meal, the chef had come over and asked us for feedback, asked us if we'd have changed the dishes and what we thought of the restaurant. I couldn't find fault in anything and I can't say how much I appreciate this level of personal attention in a busy restaurant. I'd recommend Amani to any fan (or not) of indian cuisine. Brilliant...

Visited without booking at lunchtime. Chef extremely accommodating and helpful as one of our party of 4 is both vegetarian and gluten free. So three of us ordered from the menu and all starters, mains and additional sides were excellent. Chef cooked the vegetarian and gluten free starter and main course from scratch, off menu with full consultation. He could not have been more helpful and the meals were again excellent. We could have eaten anywhere (it was a surprise visit from family who had driven for 4 hours) but I am so glad we chose Amani. I had eaten here three times previously, as had my partner, with excellent food and service. Reviews are useful, but the best advice I can give is to go eat there yourself. The restaurant experience is often far far better than our current delivery based obsession. My partner is a trained chef (retired) and if he is happy with his food then all is good with the world. Thank you Amani for a wonderful...
