My husband and I went to the Summit Inn (Littleborough) for a few drinks and a meal. It was a couple of years since we last visited. Straight away we noticed things have deteriorated, one young lady behind the bar and another serving meals although the pub was very busy. This is not a complaint about the staff as it was obvious they were run off their feet. We were warned of a 40 minute wait for meals which came and passed. When the meal arrived it was a disgrace. How the chef let this meal leave the kitchen is a bad indication of his/her ability. One of the meals contained a baked potato and the skin was rock hard, impossible to cut into. The cheese and onion pie had collapsed into an almost flat mess. The beans were okay. The second meal was chilli with chips and rice. It arrived at the table with a skin on top. It looked to me as if it had been stood for a long time and then microwaved and served. Chatting with other customers outside the pub it sounded like this was quite common. This used to be a good pub with good meals, not any more. We won't be visiting again under...

The rose on the table about sums this place up!
Flowers welting, food welting and staff welting staff.
Iāll make this review very quick as it was that bad.
9 whole fries with burger meal. burger missing of the cheese burger. (I kid u not) curries with popadoms but no yogurt sauce or mango sauce as they no longer bother doing it. This was a blessing in disguise as the poppadoms where harder than cardboard. Iām moving house soon so gonna go back and save them and glue em together. 6 out of the 11 meals where wrong in total... which to be honest judging by the level of ignorant and incompetent staff wasnāt too bad I guess. we booked a table for 11 which was reserved but we had to actually move the tables and chairs ourselves.
All in all this place is an absolute joke. Used to be ok but itās now like a really really rubbish āthe hornetā in Rochdale.
We will come back...just to see if could possibly get any worse! Ha

Can you believe it I was thirsty. Food took 40mins only wanted s beef baguette As I say lovely place with great attention to toilets ,decor lovely surroundings just needs an older head who has worked in this atmosphere and knows order of service to train the younger staff who seem all at sea.smiling at customers is also a must in hospitality industry.not standing behind the bar moaning loudly about your work load.yes we all have to work.this I mean these comments constructively as I like to support All public houses are in a hard game and this public house has had a lot of investment. Worth a visit.some ones worked very hard to get it to this stage.Good luck surroundings are a...
