I recently visited Scott’s Kitchen with a friend and her child for afternoon tea, and honestly, it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel completely welcome – friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. It’s clear they care about their customers, which made the whole visit feel really special. They even have a kids’ afternoon tea, which my friend’s child absolutely adored! It was the perfect size for little ones, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care – watching her enjoy it so much added an extra layer of joy to our day. I had the gluten-free afternoon tea, and I couldn’t have been happier. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made – you wouldn’t even know it was GF if you weren’t told. The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming, perfect for families or just a quiet catch-up with friends. I loved how thoughtful every detail felt, from the presentation of the food to the little touches that made the experience memorable. And the best part? It’s very affordable considering the quality, service, and care that goes into every aspect of the visit. I genuinely can’t recommend Scott’s Kitchen enough. Between the delicious food, attentive staff, and the family-friendly touches, it’s a true gem. We left feeling happy, full, and already planning our next visit – it’s that kind of place that sticks with you.

Scrumptious Salads and More… This little gem is perfectly hidden away in Scotts Garden Centre, the menu has a great range of healthy and wholesome eats and a really hearty breakfast selection. We came here on a very sunny afternoon, so we sat outside in their wonderful garden area and tucked into two of their salads. We ordered the Chicken Ceasar and the Thai Half Chicken with Orange Salad and both were simply scrumptious, the portions were very hearty, but the freshness, quality of ingredients and taste were excellent. One to try if your ever passing, even if your not into your gardening, this little gem is well worth a visit!

came here today for the first time and honestly not impressed. took ages for a server to come over, i got a roast and asked for cauliflower cheese on the side to get a harsh response making me sound like the idiot because it already is (doesn’t state that on the menu tho thats why i asked) now while my food is quite nice £17 for a tiny bit of chicken and THREE small roast potatoes is absolutely ridiculous, upon this i dont even get my own cauliflower cheese? while waiting for someone to come over and check on us my friend tucked in to it as it again doesn’t state on the menu its 1 to share? safe to say im disappointed

Have been having breakfast at Scott's for a few months, from having the most wonderful meal, for which l recommended it to everyone, It has steadily gone down hill, when you have the same meal every time it allows you to compare with the previous. The portions seem smaller the mushrooms are like shoe leather the eggs are awful however they're cooked, the majority of the items are cold and what was once a great service with lovely friendly staff is now non existent.Today for example we waited ages to be sat down while the immediate member of staff was taking a booking on the phone, in front of us were two staff members chatting away and seemingly oblivious to our presence, when the phone went down the male member of staff who had previously ignored us then approached us to get sat down. After having a meal which was far from satisfactory ref the reasons given earlier in my overview the same member of staff who was on the phone passed us and l tried to catch her attention that we might pay seeing as she had the mobile key pad payment machine in her hand on three occasions l was ignored as she was busy chatting to customers she seemed to know general small talk gossip this went on for about 10 mins then my friend said I'll go up to the counter and pay there were about three others waiting to pay seemingly fed up sitting waiting to settle up and indeed the lady sat next to us voiced her disappointment in the service saying it took ages to get sat and she was still waiting for her coffee with once again the majority of the staff standing around gossiping a grinning at one another at approximately £35 for two breakfasts poor service and awful food l certainly won't be back or recommend again what a waste of a lovely setup the managers need to...

My second review of Scott's kitchen. Previously quite regular visitors to this restaurant, my wife and I returned for some food and drink and were so disappointed by how far standards have fallen. From generally reduced quality of ingredients through to undercooked potatoes, it was so far removed from what we had previously experienced as to be like a different venue. Then to top things off, on getting the bill we find a 10% service charge is sneakily just added on to the contactless terminal. I don't really have a problem with it being there as we would usually leave the server a tip, however it is disappointing to see it just appear with nothing said, no option, and I am always unhappy to leave a tip, which should be for the server, as part of a card transaction that goes to the company with no idea of whether the server will benefit or not. The venue remains clean and tidy, with polite staff so this is not a 1 star, unfortunately I feel very let down by the changes at Scott's kitchen and will not...
