Revised review from 1* - I had a terrible mix up here when booking which prompted a bad review. The management and staff were excellent in handling the situation and I've honestly never had customer service be so swift and apologetic. Fantastic so far, will update once I have visited. Update - brilliant afternoon tea. Would recommend fully. Scones are FANTASTIC

Really enjoyed our trip to Ashburnham Place Orangery. The food was exceptionally good, but was quite pricey, when compared with other restaurants in the area. The grounds of Ashburnham are beautiful. And it’s definitely a great place to visit. Or to stay. I would recommend it, just be prepared to pay a little more than you would in other local places.

A delightful setting, stunningly beautiful. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The food and coffee were delicious. I had a toasted sourdough open sandwich, milkshake and filter coffee. My fellow diners enjoyed cheese scones and lattes. Allergies were accommodated meticulously and respectfully.

There is nothing not to like about Ashburnham Orangery. Except maybe the public convenience which is outside. As you drive in you get a stunning view of the building. Parking is available in two areas and there are plenty of spaces. The staff are very polite and our order came swiftly. I had a panni which was delicious, my friends had soup which came in a large bowl with several slices of bread and the other who's vegetarian found several options. She actually brought some vegetables which were outside the Orangery to purchase. We brought cake to take home because they looked irresistible. They were boxed up beautifully and were individually sliced. My slice will actually do two sittings because it was huge and so moist and delicious 😋 I came home feeling very relaxed and appreciated seeing friends in such a...

Normally really good, but a bank holiday leaves staff a bit overwhelmed! Returned on a non-bank holiday, and quite disappointed at the quality of the food. The 'side-salad' to sandwiches is just a handful of leaves. One large leaf was brown and mouldy. The 'handbaked crisps' are just a packed of crisps, so dont get your hopes up on that either.

I was surprised to find that the Hygiene rating is only 3 for here - so probably best to avoid until that is resolved. Unless you don't mind the risk of an upset tummy from mouldy food!

It's a real shame as the location is wonderful - just let down by staff who to be fair to them, don't appear to be trained or have catering experience.

Room for improvement - I just hope that management see this and take it constructively and make the...

Ready for a moaner??Very disappointed yesterday with the tiny slice of tasteless quiche accompanied by just a mouthful of leaves.( salad?)..do you put any cheese or herbs in the quiche? main ingredient in mine was a broccoli stalk!!.my friend was treating me or I would have said something.. ...Please remind your staff that when returning from delivering food they could clear some tables rather than walk back with an empty tray..interesting watching it yesterday as people sat at tables full of used plates and cups and the waiter just wandering by empty handed. My friend had the 3 salad dish which she enjoyed and as always the apple juice was lovely..I think you could look at your portion sizes as another person was...
