This is a tough review to write, the food was not terrible, just wasn’t anything to write home about.

The pods are pretty cool to sit in and eat, in fact internet here is fantastic, I could see this being a great place to have a meeting in, or similar

Other than the lawns needing a cut, the place is very clean and tidy.

Now I had a breakfast and cuppa tea, cost me £18.30, look at the picture “would you pay that?” tasted ok, was cooked well, just a tad expensive in my honest opinion. When you consider what I use as a benchmark “see fighting cocks Isle of Wight” then your understand, this is poor value really.

After ordering your food You’re given a buzzer, when it goes off, you get your own food left out on the side. I get this lowers costs, but to me £18.30 is a lot of money, there saving is for greed, and not passed on in my mind. For this money it should be brought to the table, in this day and age you can’t just leave your belongings, so like me other solo eaters all picked there bits up just to go and get your food. So it’s annoying aswell. Then there’s a notice for you to return your finished with stuff

I will say, I did see as I was leaving the young girl that served me was helping a lady to her table with there food. So that was a nice touch to see.

Where I can’t really give much of a review on the food, as I said above, just wasn’t terrible, wasn’t great, some items on my plate was stone cold, that is always disapointing when that happens, fear of repeating my self, £18.30 this is not what I expect for this price.

I’m glad I tried this place out, it’s not tragic, just not what I want if...

Disappointing!

Visited here for some lunch. Staff were instantly quite rude when ordering at the counter. Ordered a tuna melt panini which I didn’t think was possible to get wrong but when I opened it, there was hardly any tuna inside, no cheese at all, wasn’t very warm & extremely dry.

I took it to the counter to one of the staff members and asked if some filling could be put inside. The staff member was rude and stomped off to the kitchen.

Seconds later someone from the kitchen brought it out and when I looked inside, they had chucked freezing cold tuna into the container with the panini flung everywhere.

Instead of them apologising, I felt I had to apologise for being a nuisance despite paying £6 for what I can only describe as a mess for my lunch.

No utensils out for customers and barely any sauces to choose from.

Real shame as other reviews seem good and they are in the perfect location right next to the beach. Perhaps they should maintain their quality of food and customer service rather than rely on the location to keep...

Really disappointed. Ordered a tomato/mozzarella/ pesto toastie. When the waitress came with a panini we enquired several times “sorry is this a toastie? We ordered a tomato/mozzarella toastie” with a reply that a toastie and panini are the same thing and it was the correct item. The waitress told us this several times that they were the same thing, so we had a bite. We then discovered they’d served a pepperoni and cheese panini. As we’re vegetarian, and a pepperoni toastie isn’t even an option on the menu, we alerted the staff. They denied any error and claimed we had ordered a pepperoni toastie (?!).

It’s fine to make errors, life happens, but if we’ve tried to clarify with the waitress multiple times whether the correct thing was served then just please apologise and offer a refund. My partner has never eaten pork in his whole life so this is really...

Lovely staff, great food and portions. The garden is a pleasant place to eat, especially in the summer but the pods are great if the weather turns. We always come back here. Lovely cafe by the sea. Great breakfast stop. Dog friendly. Lovely pods to sit in when weather bad . Would highly recommend. Prompt friendly service, great coffee and good selection of cakes. Liked the outdoor seating with cosy cabins suitable for families and the larger covered table area that would probably seat a bus load.

I recently had breakfast at the Winchelsea Beach cafe and I must say I was impressed with the new management! The pancakes were absolutely delicious and the full English breakfast was equally satisfying. In addition to the great food, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciated the 9:00 am opening time which was perfect for my schedule. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a tasty breakfast and great service.
