Worked here with our Photo Booth a few times and decided to book The station for our daughters 18th nothing was too much trouble. Let us use our own suppliers and do our own food which was great. The room was very clean and the staff was amazing. They even went out of their was to provide drinks that they didn’t have and even offered to put up the bouncy castle for the kids. All in all everything was perfect and i can’t recommend you enough, thank you so much. Will definitely be coming back

Arrived just for a drink but decided to have a meal. Everything was home made and fresh. Missus doesn't normally eat chips but ended up stealing mine because they were so nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend if you're passing either on the train or canal which are both very close.

Great place to pop in during long walk. Had a nice cool refreshing beer and a game of pool. Also enjoyed watching a bit of footy.

I wouldn't bother. We're here now and it's a bit shambolic to be fair. Waited ages to be shown to our seat. After being sat a good 10/15 minutes my partner asked the poor young lass doing all the running around, what's happening and she asked "has no-one took your order" seeing as she was the only one seemingly doing most things, she should have known this. We were told we'd have cutlery soon. Eventually our drinks orders were taken and a casino chip given, relating to the size of plate we wanted. We then had a VERY long wait in a queue for carvery, which to be honest, all meats looked very dry. We both opted for beef, which we could have taken to sole our shoes with. The veg (with the exception of carrots and sweetcorn) were all biege, and the cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and sprouts, were cooked to death and just mush! 'Roast' potatoes were very similar to boiled, perhaps that's what they were? By the time we had sat down, still no sign of cutlery, I asked one of the young ladies at the bar and was told "2 minutes" after waiting 5 minutes, I helped myself, as I don't like cold food. At no point were we offered the (free) soup starter and the stuffing was all gone! This establishment seems to be run by "kids" and as helpful as the young lass with the blonde ponytail was, she really didn't know if she was coming or going! When it was time to pay, they didn't have a clue what we'd had! In addition, the absence of napkins/serviettes makes me think this place is low grade. Best thing on our plates was the mash, back to Sir Jack's next...

My family of 4 came here to eat for the first time this evening. What a brilliant experience. First and foremost, safety measures are in good order for distancing and reducing the virus. One way systems, hand sanitisers and track and trace. Very clean and welcoming with a brand new sun terrace which is great. Great play area for the kids with added bonus of watching the trains go past which my daughter loved. The food was fantastic and at such great value. We had loaded nacho starter which came in a huge bowl then pizzas and chilli. Pizzas are home baked in their pizza oven outside. Then there were the chips, well goodness me, home made just like your mum use to make. You will never have chips like it anywhere else you go. The landlord looked after us as did the staff. This is a must try. This is the first time I have ever done a review so this I think goes to show the height of my satisfaction and believe me I have been to many bars and eateries. We will be back. They...

Great dog friendly pub with excellent drinks range. Staff really friendly and we felt very welcome on our first visit yesterday afternoon. Booked for Sunday Carvery which is served in a separate function area and is a nice light, quieter and comfortable area. Sunday lunch was top quality with very generous meat portions and good variety of fresh veg. Two outside seating areas and a small playground. Sports on tvs, sky and bt, in main bar plus pool tables. All in all an excellent pub which would definitely be our local if we...
