We went there on Saturday night the 21st June about 6.30ish , to be told they were fully booked so as we left we sat outside looking on the phone tonsee where else we could go , but the owner came out and said they did have a table for us , we all had starters , my Brother in law and I had Cullen Skink which was amazing one of the best I have tasted , my wife had the prawn cocktail she said it was really good and my sister in law had deep fried brie with a side salad again it was very good , 3 of us had the steak pie with potatoes , carrots and cauliflower and it was amazing and ky wife had the lasagna which she couldnt finish as it was massive but she said it was so good , we never had a pudding because we were all to full but they did have a good sweet menu , if we are ever this way again I wouldnt hesitate to go there again for a meal , great friendly staff , we were served quickly but not rushed and it was spotlessly clean ,...

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant about going to the Admiral. However I was definitely in for a pleasant surprise especially around the service. The food was nice but it was the friendly efficient staff that were notable. A few previous comments had stated the young staff were rude and didn’t provide a good service I found the opposite to be true. Unfortunately I didn’t get their names but I was in at 5.30PM Friday 9th May. The bar area in the restaurant was being manned by two young ladies. Both were efficient and courteous. One clearly has more experience and interacted with all the customers in a friendly chatty manner. From my experience the negative comments about the staff were totally unfounded. Very enjoyable meal and couple of drinks in the dog friendly area of the...

I feel bad about the 3 star ratings. The staff were very attentive and friendly. It's just that service was quite slow. The atmosphere may have been excellent in the actual restaurant, but because we had a dog, (which was immediately given a bowl of water), we were seated in the 'lounge' which had no atmosphere at all but it did have people coming in and out constantly and a tear in the seat next to me. Having said that..the food was excellent and very reasonably priced..surprisingly so. We had garlic and chilli prawns, seafood linguine, steak and Guinness pie, strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake and 4 drinks all...

After being turned down for a tent pitch around the corner we went into the pub for an early tea as we'd skipped lunch. Dinner was starting at 5 and we arrived at 4 but the staff kindly said the kitchen would start cooking for us at 4:30. The food was glorious, we both had the Cullen Skink, the first time I'd ever had it....amazing, you must try it, I'd happily live off it! Mains were great too, and with a sea view what more could you ask for? Use this restaurant/ pub, don't lose it as it's a gem! Lots of outside parking which is free, at the harbour. Can't wait to return

Quiet little local pub with lovely food. Dog was allowed to join us which was great. We were probably the last table as kitchen shut at 8 and we were there just after 7.30. Service was a little slow although friendly, but we weren't in a rush so didn't bother us. Food was lovely. Location is a bit hard to find it's at the marina and initially looks like a house from the outside. Not a lot of parking so if it's busier could be a problem. Overall we had a great time and would recommend.

Popped in for dinner whilst staying at the caravan park. Great little pub offering bar meals. Dog friendly in the lounge. Big beer garden out front. Service was attentive and efficient. Good atmosphere. Bar area sounded lively. Relatively cheap drinks. Food was reasonable, perhaps a little expensive for what it is but don’t mind paying if only eating out once on the weekend. Would recommend if you’re in the area. Menu prices as of June 2024
