We found the restaurant in this beautiful place on the internet. We wanted to have lunch there with our two children. So we drove there and parked in the car park. We saw a couple sitting in the conservatory. We walked towards the entrance and were immediately dismissed with derogatory hand gestures. We were treated like dirt. This is no way to treat guests. If the restaurant was still closed, there are other ways to let them know. But you would have to look up from your smartphone to do this.
to your answer: Remember to be friendly in everything you do. People will always thank you for it. We only met two unfriendly people in the whole of Scotland....

We enjoyed an excellent home cooked Bean Chilli, just what we needed! As we were staying next door we got to enjoy the breakfast of Porridge and Eggs on toast, fuelling us for the days activities.
The bar was well stocked, with a good selection of tap beers and bottled local ales, and of course, whiskey!
The hosts were great, always on hand to serve, offer advice, or just have a good old story swapping chat!
We look forward to returning, hopefully this year!
