I had the prawn salad and chips option. I'd seen the photos online before but was still amazed when the dish arrived at my table - WOW!! I ate everything on my plate. The prawns were amazing and done to perfection. The salad was superb, full of flavour and incredibly fresh. The chips were perfect and very generous portion. I was made to feel very welcome as soon as I arrived. After eating I enjoyed a very nice coffee. I could hear the friendly banter with all customers, everyone was given personal attention, not just the locals. I could hear very positive feedback from other tables too. I hope to return one day and have no hesitation in...

The Isle of Luing is a small, but very beautiful island, with amazing views everywhere you look. A visit to Luing would be incomplete without going to the Atlantic Islands Centre. It serves some delicious food, hot drinks, and cakes. There is a small selection of local-interest souvenirs for sale. Downstairs there are information boards giving some information regarding local wildlife and upstairs there is a small exhibition on the history of Luing. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, as are the local islanders who are...

Cycled here from Oban, and was lucky enough to have time for lunch. Two vegan options available. We went for hearty (vegan) soup with bread baked by Mary. There was an impressive selection of lush looking cakes bakes by locales - one vegan choice. Tables outside in the sun with a view of the Atlantic, with home cooked good. Nothing nicer. Worth cycling 20 miles for. I recommend highly and will go back when I get the chance. Just check on opening hours as you don’t want to miss this and be clear when...

We visit the Oban area virtually every year so we have done most of the usual tourist traps. This year we decided to try something new and took the short ferry ride over and visit this little visitor centre. The welcome was the warmest we had ever had and although the cafe was having a locals get together we were invited in to join them. Soup and sandwiches and cakes with a cup of tea. The cost well you simply made a contribution. It was up to you how much you paid. Awesome. We will definitely come here again.
