The food at The Burrell Collection café restaurant was excellent – fresh, well prepared, and full of flavour. The menu offered a good range of options, and everything we ordered was very enjoyable.
The service, however, could be improved. A particular concern was that the children’s meals were brought to the table significantly later than the adults’. It is not appropriate for a child to be left waiting while the rest of the table has already been served. Ideally, children should receive their meals first, or at the very least at the same time as the adults.

Read moreWouldn't waste my time again. 45 minutes we waited for two meals whilst people who came in much later got their orders vastly quicker. We had to complain twice for anybody to even remotely step up and do their job. It was busy but that didn't seem to stop others getting a respectable time, not to mention they didn't even clear the table from the previous people who had sat down.
All in the service is atrocious, the prices are absolutely ridiculous and the food after all that wait was bland. Honestly could have just walked to Morrisons and had a more fulfilling meal deal than the time wasted in this place.

We have been a few times before and have been happy enough with the food and service, however we came this weekend with our dog, to find out it is not dog friendly, nor did they have outside seating, and to top it all off they also did not do takeaway. This is baffling for a café in a park. We had walked an hour to specifically use the café as a pit stop before heading home, instead we had to walk back to the car and go elsewhere. I totally get that they want to preserve the interior from dog hair and mess, but on a summers day outside seating or takeaway would have been appreciated so we could sit...
