A lot of effort has gone in to making this tearoom a welcoming place to visit and provide quality and scrumptious food to both regulars and visitors. The pandemic has meant changes to the way the tearoom could operate and obviously various restrictions had to put in place to comply. Most people have accepted and complied with the changes and restrictions but there is still a few newer customers that think that some of the restrictions in place before the pandemic shouldn’t apply to them. I for one think that animals of any kind shouldn’t be allowed in eating places and I suspect that a lot of other tearoom customers feel the same. The owner has to set restrictions to cater for the majority, common...

7/8/2020 Friday Thank you for being so kind !!!! So glad to see you open (again) today !!! This is not just a piece of coffee cake. This is a piece of "cake from the FUTURE" !! 2 years ago, when I was queuing up for the coffee cake, i witnessed the last piece sold to the customers in front of me... Back there on last Saturday and the lady told me the cafe will re-open on Friday (today). Back today and another lady told me coffee cake all sold out !!! I started blabbling about how gutted i feel. The lady said "ok ! We will take the cake from tmr out from the fridge and put icing on for you now. Can u wait for 5-10mins ?" "Are u sure ??!! Of course I can wait !!! Thank...

Food and drinks were good, but experience wasn't great. Maybe some misunderstanding with a rather hasty employee, but I asked for a table, had been told that it would have been available in 30 minutes, placed the order and turned out that it was only to take away. I decided to sit outside in the wind, they brought immediately the tea and took 20 minutes for the food, by then the tea was as cold as a cup of seawater. Another waitress really kindly gave me another one, so not a big problem at the end, but some organisation and clarity would help. I would recommend to...

We arrived here right before closing time and were able to enjoy delicious scone, lemon 🍋 drizzle cake and a cup of a cappuccino ☕️ while sitting outdoors. We even were given some free scones from the lady to take home with us! 🥰View from the garden area was stunning! Staff at the tearoom were incredibly friendly! We loved that tables were marked with stones and each of them had their own name 🙂 I would definitely recommend this cafe for the afternoon tea time especially when you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful sunny ☀️ weather.

A welcome sight at the end of the single lane road heading south from the Earls palace is this small tearoom with a small car park which has a great selection of teas and coffees, toasties , soups ,sandwiches and bakes , With the impressive view over Birsay bay as a visual treat we had some wonderfull toasties and coffee served by the young friendly staff , well recommended if in the area
