This place changed βœ‹ βœ‹ on November of last yr. from The Shore to what it is now. So in i went with my friend Janie on 11/7/24 & ordered the best stake pie πŸ₯§ for miles around. & she had the chicken 🐀 & bacon πŸ₯“ wrap with lovely non greasy crisp chips & side salad which she thoroughly enjoyed πŸ‘ At least my long plate was hotπŸ”₯ which it should be & I only had a small couple of tough pieces of meat in it. The gravy was nice & thick & my mashed tatties were lovely & the small portions of carrots πŸ₯• & broccoli πŸ₯¦ were cooked to perfection πŸ‘ I had their lentil soup before my mains [of course] & it sure was piping hot πŸ”₯ as it should be & it wasn't too thick or too thin BUT I didn't experience much taste from it as in some others eateries there is a taste of ham/bacon from the stock, at least i got a taste from the toast as you can see πŸ˜‚ I washed it all down with a lattie (coffee) BUT I couldn't believe it - it was only luke warm & I told the most pleasant young waitress Elyse if it could be removed for a hot one & that was no problem for her to do & when it came back, it was exactly the same as the last one I got - only luke warm. So up I went with it & spoke to the cook & said that maybe his coffee machine wasn't working right, so he brought me ANOTHER one & it was piping hot πŸ”₯ (3rd time lucky) The sweet that I chose from the menu was apple 🍏 crumble & warm custard. I said to Eylse if I could have my custard HOT & it came in a wee jug & my bowl of apple 🍏 crumble was full to the top & it was loaded with apples which were hot & brown crumble on top on which I poured some of my hot custard over & after eating all that I was quite full. I have seen pictures of their battered fish 🐠 & it looks nice & crisp, so I will be back in again to sample that along with hopefully non greasy chips 🍟

Came with a few friends without a booking but they were able to accommodate us in the bar. Drinks and food are reasonably priced. Food was served piping hot and presentation was lovely. I had steak pie, mash and veg. Pie and mash were lovely however I very let down by the veg. The red cabbage was tasteless. One waitress came over to check if we were all done and we said no, several of us were still eating so she left us alone. However, I was disappointed that another waitress kept returning to the table and cleared plates while others were still eating, reaching over one person, whilst she was eating, to take my plate away. The door of the toilet in the bar area swings wide open if the door isn't closed properly when someone leaves. Not great when you are eating. Friends recommend the wine in the picture which wasn't overpriced. Atmosphere is nice, tables not too close together. Some deep holes in the car park across the road, which could be filled with some stones, but there's plenty spaces. I would recommend as the steak pie was very nice and friends said the burgers were lovely too (sorry no pics but they were huge and came with some good looking onion rings).

We absolutely love the Blackmill Bar and Kitchen! They have a brand new menu which is delicious and we're working through! Firstly, the staff are amazing. Very welcoming and friendly which is so nice. They are dog friendly and always give Fergus big treats and cuddles. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious. On our last visit, we had the madras, hot chilli honey chicken, gammon egg and chips (and pineapple!) And the king prawn fajitas. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the portions were a great size- nice and hot and full of flavour. We then joined drag-e-oke on the night which was brilliant! Barbra la bush was a fantastic host, the singers were great and the atmosphere was bouncing. We've been to quiz night a few times too and absolutely loved it. They have a lovely large garden area, which has brand new sheds, outdoor heating and nice colourful benches! Would definitely recommend! & being dog friendly is a big win!

Very pleasantly surprised by this gem as our host had advised it could be hit/miss but on our visit it was a definite hit. We booked about 2 hours before dining and I think it was worth while doing as boy were they busy tonight. On arrival nicely and professionally greets and shown to our table, the booth area was just right, thanks for that. Our waitress was really good, knew the menu, answered questions and was multi tasking like it was going out of fashion. The drinks were promptly served, nice larger, thanks

Then the food turned up, oh boy, we knew at this point we had made the right decision coming here. The shared bruschetta was well worth while doing I had the chicken with fries, veg (aaldente, just right) with a really nice peppercorn sauce. The other dish was a hanging steak. Both very good, cracking fries, great with the sauce and the chicken was butterflied, nicely cooked and wasn’t under/over done, nice and very hard to keep a couple of pieces for the dogs waiting in the car. Appreciate the pup is dog friendly but with having 2 Labradors, it was easy for us to leave them in the car on this occasion Really pleased with the food but did we have space for a dessert, maybe so after checking out the menu we both opted for the churros, omg what a lovely way to finish the meal. Price was very fair as including 3 x large Pepsi max and a larger it came to about Β£65 for both of us. The staff were on point, helpful, friendly and professional, a real credit to the owners.

The only slight down side was with someone playing something on a phone (game/video) as that was rather loud and could be heard over the chatter of the other guests, but I’m assuming being a β€˜member’ of staff, it’s a perk

A definite hit and we’d love to try other items from the menu next time we’re in the area and would encourage you to visit, based on...

Noticed this place when we arrived for a wk long stay in Falkirk, fancied dining out on the Wednesday evening so took a walk down. Friendly welcome from a local lad sitting at the Bar & then who I believe to be the owner appeared behind the Bar, ordered & paid for 4 Drinks & then informed the guy we would like food out in the Beer Garden & that we had our 3 Month old Puppy with us, he informed me that was absolutely fine & did we want to dine inside as Dogs are welcome, anyway we got a table outside with menus given at the Bar, we then chose our food, Steak Pie Chips & Veg, Beer battered Fish & Chips c/w mushy Peas, loade fries with Chilli & a kids Chicken Nuggets with Chips. The host came out with a bowl of water & some treats for the puppy & then 10 mins later all 4 meals arrived & all agreed that is was absolutely beautiful, my wife did say that the Chilli was a bit hhhhot..!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Also ordered Churros which came with a pot of Choc Spread, Caramel & a pot of Honeycomb ice cream & my wife had the biscof cheese cake, all course were thoroughly enjoyed & the empty plates proved it. 3 Pints of Blackberry Cider(highly recommend) 2 x Cokes & 2 X diet Coke Β£70 all in. Highly recommend the Staff, the premises, the food & the desserts. If your ever near this establishment go ahead & treat you &...
