Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
First impressions as our group of 6 had taken our seats was to hear the OWNER tell another customer "No you DID order two lots of toast" He tried to kindly explain that the menu says toast X2 (2 slices) so that's what he was referring to. Instead of accepting her mistake she puts it down in front of him and walks away after arguing with him that he was wrong and did order 2 lots of toast. My husband at this point said let's go, but we had 3 small children we didn't want to upturn and find somewhere else. I should have listened to him
We sat for a few minutes with no instruction from front of house on how to order or where the menu's were, so my Mum walked up to the counter to ask for menus. The attitude of the woman was absolutely diabolical. She was abrupt and had zero patience for visitors who had clearly never been in her shop. The sit in cafe doesn't have menus and instead expected to stand Infront of a tiny board at the counter.
She walked off to make our food but we hadn't finished ordering.. that's because she used no people skills to ask "is this all for you? Or, anything else?"... Nope, simply walked away. We called her back and said we haven't finished sorry.
My mum had ordered a pot of tea and asked if she could get the tea when her roll is ready. You would think she asked the woman to go to china for the tea. It was a huge inconvenience for her.
My husband asked for well cooked bacon.. her response "it comes as it is".
I had to bite my tongue so hard not to get into an argument with this woman as the children were there and we needed fed before the ferry back home but good grief I am still shocked at the way she treated us. She lacked basic people skills and can't wrap my head around why she would be in the hospitality industry - especially across from a busy ferry terminal with regular tourism and visitors.
The locals who came in had a different experience which is quite ironic as she had an English accent. Never ever would I return to this place.
The food was ok. Filled rolls in the morning and lunch menu in the afternoon. The whole place could do with a...
Read moreDear All You may not know my wife and I, however we love your cafe and reminisce of our time on Mull. We often share your webcam to watch your unique position and views of ferries and life. Thank you for allowing us to be armchair travellers until next time. One thing if we could as,?. You obviously have a spider living in the camera that spoils a night time view. Just thought, if you could tempt it away with a latte or a bacon cob. Luv to you all....
Read moreWe popped in here on a Sunday afternoon, hungry and ready for a sit-down. We had such a friendly greeting from the lady serving, we were really made to feel welcome. Although that day there wasn't much food available, what there was was really tasty and filling. I asked about allergy information in the home-made pasties and the lady was SO helpful, it was great. Would definitely recommend stopping by for a wee...
