Bog Cotton Café — Restaurant in Scotland

This was unexpectedly a very pleasant coffee experience. I wasn’t expecting to have such a great cup of cappuccino in the middle of nowhere. Scottish milk is the best, so is the expertly prepared coffee. I also liked the atmosphere of the cafe. Pastel coloured table clothes and pillows with animal designs give a cozy, natural but sophisticated feel suitable to the environment. Forest view through the large windows is just very serene. I was lucky it was such a beautiful sunny day. There is also a nice gift shop selling very high quality, locally produced items. The Scottish lady who owns the place is very kind and friendly. Not a venue you would perhaps have as first choice, but once you find this place it's a wonderful place with excellent food and coffee. The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to provide what you want. They have vegetarian options on the menu and can cater for vegan. Great cafe within the village of Cannich nr Beauly. The cafe is situated beside the Cannich Caravan park. The Cafe is open 7 days and does a really good full Scottish Breakfast, also the scones & cakes are all home baked and the shortbread is fantastic, very friendly & welcoming.
