Cafe Circa at The Scottish Antique & Arts Centre, Abernyte — Restaurant in Scotland

I visited Cafe Circs for lunch today. I was very impressed with the food and the service. I had the Daube of Beef with parmesan mash and savoy cabbage. It was fabulous. Really odd place.

The coffee was really not great - lukewarm warm and flavourless.

The sandwiches were expensive and small - I’ve never know an egg mayo sandwich to have mustard.

Waiting staff friendly, but a really odd layout.

I imagine this is a family run business, as it’s got some really odd things about it, like a 1 way system in the cafe, making you feel like cattle instead of a paying customer, in my opinion the food...

Lovely cafe inside the antique shop. Great selection available here. There is a lunch menu as well as a coffee and cake/scone option. We stopped by for a cafe and cake and service was prompt. The latte is beautifully layered, the brownie was gorgeous! The sponge of the walnut cake was a little dry but the overall taste was amazing, with all the crunchy bits on the top. The staff was friendly and informative. We will come back...
