Capercaillie Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

Absolute disgrace. Stopped with the friends to have something to eat. Couldn't go worse. Waitress passing us a few times not even reacting we're waiting to be seated. Finally we found used table full of dishes. After a long wait she cleared it up with absolutely no word. We were given one menu cart for three people. Myself, after a long wait got a microscopic dish of small chicken breast and four small baby potatos. Moved to the cash desk and asked for the bill. Was handed the card terminal and paid, asked again for the bill. No words, was just handed it. Noticed was billed for something we never got, said that. The waitress did not even say again a word, huffing and puffing handed £2.50 in cash without even saying sorry, or even good bye. Never again. The customer service in this place is absolutely shocking. Save yourself this experience and choose something else in Killin.

Update. Sent an email to management, never got a reply. Review and messaged on Facebook. Guess what, I was blocked there...

Called in for some refreshments this morning as we walked through Killin. One of only a few places open at this time of year. Roaring fire in the main room which we thought was a great addition on such a cold morning. Unfortunately that's where it ended. The server / waitress asked how many, we said 3 and she rudely pointed at a table next to the short steps and snapped "THERE" She then leaned over and threw the menus from the steps on to the table without saying anything. It's not like the place was busy. At the point we got up and left, her rudeness was unbelievable and uncalled for. I don't tolerate rudeness from anyone, especially from an establishment that would have been taking my money. Not sure what this place is known for but in the years I've visited Killin, this is the worst service I've ever...

We visited the falls and then came here for some coffee and hot chocolate with our kids. The drinks were made and served by a staff member from their coffee machine after we made our selection from the table menu. Drinks were luke warm at best, the cappacino had no froth to the milk, and hot chocolates seemed as if they were water based. To top things off one of the children’s hot chocolates had a tiny piece of black plastic floating in it. I complained to the staff member and he offered to provide another drink which I declined. We decided not to have our drinks and leave. The staff member brought me our bill which I then refused to pay due to not having had the drinks. Overall a...
