Castle Isle — Restaurant in Scotland

We had food in the restaurant a few times, which was really good, macaroni was amazing, although no veg with kids meals even when menu said peas. Paying the bill was awful, tried charging for other people’s meals. Then the card machine was down another night. Sat pm no draught beer or juices. Had a takeaway Sat which was a total shambles, husband seen the staff member with our order and asked him. He continued speaking to another couple, then one of them asked if that was fish and chips and he handed it over from our order 🤬 so by the time we got a new one the other food had been sitting getting cold. The pizza topping was ok, the base was so hard that the sauce was sliding off it, the fish batter was far too greasy. The staff looked stressed when it was busy, probably...

I got soup to start which tasted homemade, a hot roll and butter which was lovely. My main was tempore haddock and chips with peas and tartare sauce which was absolutely gorgeous tbh. Well impressed.

My husband had chicken strips in spicy sauce to start and a burger with skinny fries and coleslaw which he really enjoyed.

My son had chicken strips and fries for his main, his dessert was brownie and ice cream - from the kids menu as he is 9.

My son's dessert was forgotten about for over half an hour but he got it eventually when I reminded the server; they were busy so I can't feel too annoyed.

We received a takeaway of a chicken burger for me and my partner or flabbergasted to see two chicken burgers with chips came out in £19 when we then drove to eat our food in the car we established the chicken was so raw you could’ve got a defibrillator and brought it back to life Are used to have really high hopes for that restaurant and takeaway, but after what we received, I will not be returning. It was absolutely shocking.
