Nice wee cafe on the estate. You don't need to visit the gardens to visit the cafe. Went twice. The gingerbread cake was really good, the lemon drizzle was ok, had better. Scone was good, nice jam, the cream could do with being a bit thicker. Tea and coffee are good. Ham roll was good, loads of thick ham, not the best roll I've had, side salad was tasty. The couple running it this season are friendly and polite.

Still worth a visit. New people in the Cafe from last time still loverly cakes and coffee. Very polite Staff nice food. Some amazing song birds still about who are quite tame and will eat cake out of your hands. Gardens are loverly and so is the extended woodland walks.

Beautiful colours in the autumn sun. A wonderful collection of mature shrubs and trees. The owner kindly let us in after closing.

This has always been a 5 star destination and a must during our annual visit to this beautiful island. One of the reasons has been the sumptuous choice of home made cakes in the Old Workshop Cafe. However, today, 20 June 18 we have been disappointed by the paucity of choice and quality of the cakes on offer. New staff? New policy?...

Cozy cafe with superb fresh soup, boss-level ham bap & great coffee - to be taken with the almond sweet rolls imo. After a digestive pause, stroll the walled gardens, then the (free access) paths, streams & walks beyond, along the old Loch Fada road, up to Loch Turamin & back...
