An experience of HUMANITY… besides a bliss for the taste!

Well, I’m sorry to say that to us (in Italy) this would be simply inconceivable (and not-possible): leaving an open shop unattended, relying on customers propriety…!

There is a box where you will have to insert the notes, and an open box where leaving the coins and taking your change, that’s it. And this was a surreal experience to us, leaving us with a deep, COMFORTING SENSE OF TRUST IN HUMAN NATURE :-D

The place itself is really TINY AND PRETTY, with NO SITTING SPACE, just a bench outside (if you’re lucky enough to have good weather).

The FOOD offer is quite VARIOUS, but AVAILABILITY IT’S UP TO WHEN YOU ARRIVE, and anyway from time to time the owner will come carrying fresh cooked courses.

We had: hot fish pie and frangipane tart… EXCELLENT!!!

It’s a pity that we couldn’t order the dinner too, but unfortunately at our accommodation we couldn’t reheat the food.

Price per...

Bring your star Mr. Michelin - to a tasting of 36’s fish soup

It’s always a treat to see what new things appear in the shed each year. I saw Julie this weekend, plucking out the runners from the strawberry plants to focus the growing goodness into those plump berries, destined for tarts and made even better by the addition of her made-from-scratch custard. My star however, goes to Steve’s fish soup. It is velvety smooth with layers of beautiful flavour that tickle and excite the taste buds. This is no watery consommé or a bulked out paste-based affair, it’s fresh from scratch, it’s artistry and it's delicious. Who knew? Such fine fayre so far...

Really lovely home baked goods shed! Nice selection of savoury and sweet. We’re from Aberdeen so familiar with the buttery but the langoustine buttery was one of the best sandwiches we’d ever had! Also options for veggie- the curried veg pasty was delicious and so flavourful. Nice story of it being an eco Croft and sustainable produce. Highly recommend stopping! Also good to have the option of paying through PayPal as we didn’t have enough cash with us - glad we didn’t miss...

Butteries! Super fresh and tasty - had a lobster filled buttery and bought some chocolate ones for later. Looking forward to a bacon-filled buttery for breakfast in the morning too. Lovely little honesty shed - happy to see could pay digitally via PayPal too so no limit to the amount of baked goodness we could take with us.

Amazing little place where you can pick up freshly home Baked and home Made goods. We loved the langoustine buttery’s, scones and were sad to miss out on the other things that were recommended. Excellent friendly service with a honesty policy. Highly recommend for the freshest rolls and goodies.
