Shocking. So disappointed because after phoning up 2 day’s before and placed a booking for myself and Duncan we were so looking forward to going out as we hadn’t been out for a while. Anyway off we went 2 nights later we arrived early to have a drink before our meal. We introduced ourselves, said we had a booking but would have a drink first, only to be told we were not booked in for that night and after checking if it was booked in for a different night we were told no booking was ever made. We have proof on my phone that they were called on that particular night but we’re just told no can do do for that night as they had large bookings that evening. So off we went. Got a chippy and went home to check the phone in case it was a different restaurant that we phoned. It wasn’t so we phoned the restaurant and got to speak to the manager but after explaining what happened she just said sorry and she would look into it? We suggested very nicely that a free meal would be nice in way of compensation only for the her to cut us off??? We phoned back immediately and got told the manager was speaking to someone else. I said I’d hold and wait for her but after such a long time waiting and she never appeared I gave up Absolutely terrible service and after the last years of covid and lockdown etc you think they would have made more of an effort to keep and please their customers so obviously they will get no...

After a recent stay in the area, found this eaterie, warm welcome on entry, waitress have us sufficient time to peruse the menu, then came over to offer drinks, local beer is always a plus for me oj for boss and water for teenager, wife's haggis bon bons were a win, chicken goujons for myself and camembert for youngest, if your going to put sweet chili on plate say it, don't just put it on for colour, wasted half plate as she hates swet chilli, goujons? What was the dusting powder? And why chicken goujons and sauce is easy. Wife's steak pie was boiling and tasty, macaroni cheese was ok seasoning could do with seasoning and iron bru ribs with bbq beans well, more iron brew as people order because they expect the flavour to chuck norris you, I would expect the flavour to shine out and the beans to taste bbq, try the sweet chilli with the iron bru and bacon pieces in a bbq sauce with the ribs and call cowboy beans as done in the 80s and they were amazing, all in all an ok experience, it is a local pub, do local pub grub! amazing and will be beating repeat customers and locals away, few specials from local foods, fish meats etc, most people want to eat good plain hearty tasty foods that at the end they go best...

Excellent value for money. Lovely views. Strongly recommended. Very friendly and helpful hosts.

Liked: ¡ Squeaky clean premises. Large living/dining/kitchen room, with a large TV. Clean, fresh linen. Although we could not take advantage of it, the Inn being right below the rooms would have meant we could have had food and drinks at our convenience. The place is within a short walking distance of SPAR, a reasonably well stocked grocery store for essentials. Fresh milk in the fridge!

Could have been better: ¡ Well, there was just one pan and one pot in the kitchen. I sincerely feel a few more of these would be very useful for future guests. There are excellent electric radiators everywhere, but the choice of timer settings should be preferably left to the guests. A mixer tap for the hot and cold water in the bathroom would be extremely useful. The bathroom door bolt (from inside) needs attention. We went with close friends, but not close enough for people to walk in freely when one is using the bathroom! In today's times, segregation of trash is a must. We felt bad dumping all our trash in...

We went there yesterday and we weren't disappointed. This was an absolute gem of a place! I had a quick look on Google and found it and was there 10 min later, we enjoyed a drink in the beer garden while looking at the menu the views were stunning. We went in to eat and the atmosphere was warm and friendly, the staff were so nice with us and made us feel right at home. Our food was amazing the starter deep fried camembert in breadcrumbs was absolutely sublime. Only got a photo after starting it!!! We then had the seafood platter and the wagu burger and wow it was amazing I would even go as far as saying the best burger I have ever had! Yes that good and I have had a few! Can't wait to come back again! If we could give 10 stars we would!

This place is a gem ⭐️ Phenomenal food, only the freshest ingredients used. Service was impeccable, we had an amazing server called Leo who was kind, and friendly and nothing was too much to ask! He seemed genuinely thrilled to serve us. We had haggis Bon Bon’s and salt and pepper squid to start, both cooked beautifully, seasoned to perfection and they didn’t take long to arrive after ordering. For mains we had moules frites and tempura prawns. Both impeccable. We can’t believe such an amazing place exists at such great price in the lovely little village of Culbokie. Portion sizes too were perfect. We highly recommend. Utterly divine.
