We were going to have lunch or high tea here, but for some unknown reason, it was made very difficult to do so. We tipped up on a Monday, on spec, to grab some lunch, but discovered they were not serving as they are effectively closed to non residents on Mondays. Member of staff we spoke to was very pleasant and helpful and gave us details to contact manager to book another day. Wife sent email that night to manager to book next day for lunch or high tea, but no response. Called next morning to try to book for that day but they could not do it. No apology for not responding to email. Apparently you have to call some days in advance to make a booking. Fine if you are local, but doesn't really work if you are only visiting for a week. Clearly not a place for impromptu eating. So we never got to eat here, which was a shame, as they are one of few places in area where dogs...
