Fochabers Ice Cream Parlour — Restaurant in Scotland

Fochabers Ice Cream parlour is my absolute favourite ice cream place in North East Scotland - if I could go every day I would! Such a wide variety of flavours, so imaginative, and all absolutely delicious - never had a flavour I haven't loved! Ultimate go-to for me is the Granny Annie Honeycomb (and of course the Granny Annie Honeycomb Vesuvius sundae - my birthday breakfast of choice!). Indoor and outdoor seating, and all the staff are fantastic with kids - there's always paper & crayons on hand, not to mention the interactive cow in the garden!! As is to be expected, if its a sunny day expect a a queue - if its not a sunny day, the ice cream will certainly brighten your day! Great coffee and cake options too. Oh, and the also sell ice cream to take home so you can enjoy the experience all over...

Stopped here for an ice cream and was pleasantly surprised. There is a reasonable selection of flavours and the portions we got were also reasonable. I noted there is a coffee shop there which may be worth a visit sometime as well. The reason I gave the shop 4 and not 5 stars is the difficulty we had getting parked near enough to the shop to put it within our striking distance. We had to stop further away and wait for a space then hope nobody else took it before we got there. Of course, when we judge ice cream it is always against the legendary Mrs Mairs from Portsoy, who sadly is no more. This ice cream comes in close so is well worth stopping for if you can find...

Traveling back from a family BBQ the weather was pretty warm and my wife wanted nothing but a whippy ice cream so we stopped off at the parlour. The place is amazing with every flavour you could imagine and cakes to die for, service was great and very helpful. We had the biscoff sundae and caramel egg Sunday, we could either sit in or takeaway but we decide to takeaway and sit in the car, it was the quietest we've ever been 🤣 savering every mouth full and finished them we did. I would 100% stop off here again and definitely tell family and friends to stop off.
