We had a lovely meal at the Forest Cafe today. We had a mixture of brunch and lunch. The pancake stack with bacon and maple syrup with scrambled eggs on the side was delicious. Eggs are very creamy. My daughter had a tuna and cheese panini which was great and my husband had the steak fries which he enjoyed very much. Clear plates all round. The atmosphere is delightful and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The shop is also lovely to wander round. 26 Oct 2023 Been back again! Loved our food and experience again here at the Forest Cafe, Treehouse. The food is just excellent and the staff are so friendly. Atmosphere is lovely. I love looking around the Treehouse shop after having a bite to eat. There is so much to see. Totally recommend a wee drive out to visit here. Well worth a visit.

We recently hired the private dining area at the Forest Cafe for a small baby shower celebration and we could not have been any happier with the service received from Micheil and the team. From organising until the final bill was paid they were helpful every step of the way. The private dining area is a beautifully decorated space that required no additional decor and comes with a speaker to play your own music through. Afternoon tea with a small soup was the perfect combination for our celebration and a good variety of sweet and savoury. We will be sure to use this facility again ⭐️

A lovely wee cafe in the countryside. The cafe is adjoining to a home store that has interesting and high quality items. There is a show room for fireplaces too. The cafe is owned by the same company that does The Pier at Aberdeen beach and Corner Tree, so you should expect a similar level of quality. We enjoyed our food and drinks here, and will be recommending to our friends to check this wee hidden gem.

Unfortunately, the menu on Google Maps hasn't been updated, so it's 3 or 4 months out of date - I was looking forward to a steak sandwich but it wasn't to be. I had the Hunter's chicken panini - looked delicious, but not so much - bits of sliced chicken and bits of bacon (similar to bacon lard-ons) - the chicken looked processed - out of a packet and the bacon, nasty - cheap ingredients, yet premium price. I took photos of our lunch - the food looks delicious but you should never judge a book by its cover... Even though the place was initially quiet, it filled quickly, yet there was no real atmosphere. There were a couple of ladies, several tables away - one of them had no volume control and was on transmit only - she made chit-chat between myself and my father-in-law difficult as she was so loud. The only saving grace was the waitress, who was very helpful and attentive. Not...

Having enjoyed a beautiful weekend in Echt, we ventured to this place for some food. Nobody working at the restaurant was pleasant, in that we weren't welcomed at all on arrival aside from saying "wait there" before being given a table, nobody checked on us while eating the food (so I had no opportunity to say that the chicken burger (which instead of one big chicken breast had three breaded chicken nuggets inside) I had was as disappointing as the service), and nobody asked us when leaving how anything was. The drinks are stupidly expensive, we were surrounded by decorations for sale, which made everything feel like we were having to buy more tat. All in all, a total let down and eye sore in a beautiful part of the world. Don't get here, there are better ways to...
