Not the best experience. First off when my wife asked for a menu the waitress was curt and said she'd bring it to the table. Then two groups that arrived after us were given menus but not us. They were asked for their orders...still no menu for us.... Another waiter asked if we were ready to order (but without a menu). He did then get a menu. We placed our order, after a wait (and others who had arrived after us received their orders) the waiter came and apologised they had lost our order and took it again. Then when the meals came my order was missing some items listed as being in the sandwich but my wife's order was wrong she had ordered toasted cheese and tomato sandwich, wanting to avoid meat. When they replaced it they did not toast sufficiently to melt the cheese & it was no more than warm. However, there was melted cheese on the plate that must have been from the previous ham toastie. We did notice two other tables also complain about what they had received and sent the food back. Not once were we asked whether the everything was ok for us. It had all taken so long that we had not sent the 2nd toastie back & didn't bother complaining...let's face it they knew they'd messed up but didn't check on us, although the waiter did apologise for the ordering & wrong toastie issues. I'm afraid this was a disappointing visit & took so long we could not visit all the places we planned on this day of our holiday & adding further...

Well, not sure where to even start to describe our experience with this restaurant. We come to visit this place for dinner after recodementation from our place we stayed The guesthouse for night for our nc500. We come sit down with our dog. Waited 20 minutes to be served. After waiting in half empty restaurant they move us because we had dog. To dark corner next to toilet("very good for the dog") After that we waited another 20 minutes for someone to take our order and drinks. Horrible. After the food finally come fish&chips with side onion ring, starter haggis bonbons and crofter burger. Fish was very tasteless...no fish or batter had any flavour. Also find some weird thing in my batter. (On picture) burger was okey little over cooked. The best thing was chips and onion ring . Haggis bonbons where good to just very overpriced for 4 bonbons £7 Also we got dessert and drinks. Salted caramel sundae, where good nothing special. Just caramel icecream with some whiped cream and spiced apple crumble with custard i did not enjoy. Felt like something was missing ...kinda tasteless. All that come to almost to £70. We would not come to this place again . Very...

Absolutely fantastic campsite - ordered, clean, organised. Perfect facilities - shower and toilet block looks brand new and hot showers, cleaning supplies and even a hairdryer. Toilet block has occupied signs on the outside - good Covid secure touch. Closed 11-2 so they can deep clean and fog. Also dish washing and a little laundry - 30 mins and £3 for a wash. The owners also motor home and they were so friendly and welcoming, true professionals. The site is hard standing with grass for awning, electric and water near to pitch, and the grass in the middle has tents (and children playing). The beach is fantastic and only a 10 minute walk - it has a car park if you want to drive. And to top it all off, an amazing bistro/cafe/bar on site - I had the local gin, hubby had the local beer. The food was fab - great choice, including local and vegan options, and specials. Around £12-£14 so really good value. All in all, this is one of the best campsites I’ve stayed at and I...

Just had the most unbelievable veggie roast! Honestly wasn't expecting it to be that good, as usually the veggies are an afterthought when it comes to the Sunday Roast - especially when you are in a more rural setting - but The Halladale absolutely blew me away! Not only was the food top class, but the service was fantastic too, I was so well looked after and they even dried my cardigan in the tumble drier for me after my wee dog tipped her water bowl over it! Can't recommend enough, the atmosphere is lovely, the staff are really friendly and the food is delicious, what more could you ask for?!
