What a lovely Hidden Treasure in Johnshaven! The Cafe was toasty warm following the last few days of Babet’s brutality along the east coast of Scotland. I enjoyed a Flat White with a slice of Fruit Loaf and wished I purchased more for later, though most likely it would have been devoured before later. Mary Brennan, proprietor, is a delightful host and baker and as you can see in the photos her baked goods look excellent. I would love to sample them all, which warrants a trip back to Stonehaven!

Hidden Treasure Cafe in Johnshaven is a delightful find. We visited with family and were impressed by the welcoming atmosphere. The coffee and cakes were indeed the best, with rich flavors and perfect textures. We also enjoyed the ice cream, which was a good and refreshing treat.I was pleased to see plenty of options available on the menu, making it easy to find something delicious. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a quality meal with beautiful views. We will definitely be returning.

The Hidden Treasure Cafe is a hidden gem. I visited Johnshaven to see the old harbour and some of the small fishing boats. Parking is free and then you are free to roam. I was delighted to find the cafe and then to find it open. It had been a cold day so I was very happy to have lentil soup. I also had tea and a piece of cake all for less than £10. The lady owner told me they had only just been open for the year and they were quite busy.

Nestled away in the quaint fishing town of Johnshaven, hidden treasure tearoom is just as the name would indicate. It is a hidden gem and a must stop on the map of venturing travellers, passing Johnshaven.

From what I've gathered, the food is all made freshly on the premises. All of the cakes and bakery treats are baked on premises for sure, and they are majestic. I have had nothing but great experiences in this cafe. The bacon and egg rolls are particularly gratifying, and I can't go a visit without the deluxe hot chocolate.

The staff are lovely- always friendly and accommodating. Highly...

I love this little gem of a tea shop right on the harbour. Johnshaven is lovely to visit and the tea shop provides a great food stopover for coastal path journeys. All the usual suspects, cakes, slices, breakfast rolls and coffee and tea. Few seats for dining in, and a bit cheaper for take away (🤣) but with lovely views and benches aplenty on the harbour, take away is usually a good option. Solid flat white and above average cakes and bakes. Just be warned, they are only open Thursday-Sunday...
