Lovely home cooked food, Lentil soup was awesome, pancakes freshly made and good coffee. The two young ladies serving were so nice polite and friendly, ideal place to stop before or after visiting Eriskay. Would drive from North Uist to sit and have coffee on the terrace watching the world go by.

Came off the early morning ferry looking for some breakfast. Kilbride Cafe opens at 0830 so we went for a short walk along the beach opposite until it opened. A good selection of breakfast options, we had some tasty breakfast rolls and coffee. Staff friendly and great views across the sea.

Quality little place Sensational sea views with excellent coffee and very tasty expertly cooked food. Ten out of ten for breakfast…. The black pudding was second to none Very smiley staff and nothing was too much trouble for them Many thanks

Unfortunately this was our most disappointing meal of our week away travelling between Barra and North Uist. We popped in for lunch after staying at the campsite (which was brilliant and I've left a separate review for that), and ordered scampi, chips and peas, and a chicken burger and chips. Everything was cheap freezer food, and as a result, way overpriced... We paid between £9 and £11 each for the dishes. The chicken burger was particularly disappointing - the cheapest processed chicken burger in batter (you'd probably get a pack of 4 of them for £2 or less) on a plain bun with some chips on the side. No salad, coleslaw, slice of cheese etc to make it slightly more appetising. We were just left feeling pretty ripped off, especially after eating some quality, fresh food from other places since then for similar prices. Staff were friendly enough and the cafe has a lovely view - it's got a lot of potential but the food needs some...

We stayed here for a week during our recent Motorhome holiday trip in the Outer Hebrides from late April to mid May. We found this to be an excellent site with outstanding views towards the Isle of Barra. The friendly owner was always really helpful and was very happy to share his knowledge of the local area. The facilities were always kept very clean and comfortable. There is a cafe at the entrance to the site which sells home made meals which we felt were very reasonably priced. (Also, immediately next door, is the wool shop, selling a variety of handmade items made from wool which is hand-spun on the premises. The wool shop also sell a select range of locally made food products.) We would very happily stay at this site again in the future and would recommend it to all. When our stay came to an end, we really didn't want to leave. If you are camping here, don't miss a trip to the Polachar Hotel, about a quarter of...

If Carlsberg done black pudding... It would be here... It was almost as if it had it arrived that very morning on a red eye voyage from Stornoway! Honourable mention for the chef regarding the bacon and the flash fried tomato, Brian thought it was braw. Will be back again, thanks to Donald and party for a great stay. P.S. the service from the waitress was exceptional, just a few wee classy touches here and there that made our breakfast...
