I recently dined at Bistro Lochcarron, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The food is simply amazing. The steak was cooked to perfection, the fish and chips were delightful, and the venison was a standout dish. I can't recommend the harvest salad enough; it is truly to die for, bursting with fresh flavors.
The service was exceptional, thanks to the lovely couple who runs the bistro. They create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.
In addition to the fantastic food, the drink selection is excellent, featuring great beverages made with local ingredients.
The ambiance is charming, with nice candle lighting that adds a cozy touch to the atmosphere. A lovely bonus is that you can purchase these beautiful candles, which makes for a wonderful souvenir from Lochcarron.

Read moreThe place is run by a lovely couple, who manage a very nice and cosy restaurant. The menu offers a variety of dishes, with a good selection of starters and main dishes. This place is very popular and it's always recommended to call in ahead or book a table as, with the place being busy, there's a chance that they won't have a table for a walk - in (although they try very hard to accommodate everyone). The food is lovely, freshly prepared by the chef. There is a good selection of wines, to compliment every dish and there's a good selection of desserts, too. The place is located on the main street in a small village, overlooking Loch Carron and a beautiful scenery. It's a great place for an evening meal in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, to enjoy a great food and to relax with a glass of a good wine to go with it....

Only disappointment was the steak; it didn't have much flavour sadly and it was expensive for not much taste. Was glad we had the sauces (whisky and the cheese both lovely). Chips were lovely though. Really friendly owner and really helpful in getting us tucked away in a dog friendly corner. I'd imagine she would need more help in busy months as she never stopped and guests were waiting long periods to order. Glad we chose here for our special occasion (was staying in strathcarron) but would try the fish next time. Definitely book as walk ins we're being turned away or had to...
