Had a quick stop at the cafe and waited in line for about 5 minutes. The portion sizes are quite large which is good if you have an active day ahead of you. I had the venison stew and it was full of meat and vegetables which was perfect for a rainy day. Lots of desserts to choose from. Lots of gluten free options

Would not recommend going here. There is not much choice, the food is rather bad and the ambience is also not great. It's also not even cheap for what it is. Had the Bacon & Brie toasty. The bacon was dry, the Brie flavourless. The side coleslaw was totally disgusting.

The jacket potato with beans and cheese was simply delicious. Totally recommend it. The cakes were also very tasty. It's a nice place to have lunch or small coffee pit stop. The service is also very nice.. the servers were very sweet.

We experienced a diverse level of service when we stopped here for a short pit stop. The two young ladies behind the counter seemed to have both lost the power of speech. There was no greeting, no " what can we get you ?", not even a smile. Just a blank stare. Then no response when we placed our order. My wife asked about non-lactose milk options, which resulted n a carton of oak milk being held up. Charming. They did manage to say a word or two - but mainly to each other In contrast the two guys serving, one resplendent in traditional Scottish gear, were like our best buddies. Full of enthusiasm and warmth, possibly compensating for the coldnest of their female colleagues, but great to see. We did, in the end, feel welcome. We just had coffee and cake which was excellent. It is worth going just to witness the contrast - and to have...

Came in just after four o’clock. No food left. Staff sat on the floor behind the counter giggling, only one bothered to stand up to serve. Some squashed tea cakes and caramel wafers was all that was left in the cabinet . They had started to melt so ythe fridge is clearly not working properly. We went back up to purchase crisps and the staff sat on the floor asked if they could help - this time they didn't even bother to get up! Floors and tables filthy! The staff brought over a table number which was covered in milkshake and when pointed out to her she sprayed it and left it on a table. Overall shocking customer service and not what is expected on out island...

Understaffed, pricey and rude. £7+ for a small grilled panini, £2.75+ for a small basic coffee/etc. Three of us sat down, ate our meal with our coffees, then ordered two more americanos to enjoy. As soon as we sat down with the new coffees, the cashier came over to us and told us it was an ADDITIONAL £5 to stay at the table to drink the coffees. Rude rude rude, the cafe was not even full - 5 empty tables. Understaffed could be the reason (and shear amount of tourists coming thru) for the rudeness, but both the cashier and front counter staff were very rude. Avoid if possible. Also: outside bathrooms were f*g disgusting, literally smelt of...
