HYGIENE PROTOCOLS EXTREMELY POOR.
The local authorities have been contacted in relation to the restaurant serving food and not providing hygiene products for the consumer whilst on the premises.
I visited the restaurant in Kilmarnock on the morning of 06/10/23 at 11am and went to the male toilet. After going into one of the cubicles where one of the toilet seats lids was covered in excrement and fluids on the floor, and the other toilet within the other cubicle the toilet rim at the top was also covered in excrement as well.
There was no rota on the doors to determine when the toilets were last cleaned, whereby McDonalds state that "we have a dedicated team of trained customer cares staff who clean the toilets every 30 minutes throughout the day and every 15 minutes during busy periods. The toilets were clearly not cleaned on a regular basis as outlined above.
Both cubicles within the Male toilets had no toilet rolls to hygienically clean myself.
I had no choice to go into the disabled toilets to discover there was no toilet paper in there as well. After approaching the door at the kitchen where several staff members visibly so me standing there for 2-3 minutes only did then one of the staff approach the door where I explained the hygiene of the toilets were despicable and that there was no toilet paper in either the gents toilets and disabled toilets. At that moment in time I was unable to hygienically clean myself.
One of the staff members then proceeded to tell his colleague that he was aware "that there was no big toilet rolls in the restaurant".
I found it astonishing that staff members are aware that there were no big toilet rolls but never addressed the issue making sure the appropriate hygiene products are in place for the customers whilst still serving customers.
The humiliation that I experienced whereby standing in a restaurant not being able to adequately clean myself because of the restaurants failings on so many levels to implement the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness required by a global brand serving food.
McDonalds prides itself on food hygiene and cleanliness and with us just coming out of a pandemic and approaching winter months where the risk of infection and diseases can spread more easily I am astonished how this could happen in a world renowned establishment serving food.
The restaurant failed to understand the humiliation I experienced although admitting to there failings on so...

Read moreIf there was a negative star option... McDonald's would get it, they have absolutely no interest in their customers, they are only interested in the hard earned money in your pocket. Read on if you wish... After an order went wrong during a busy Saturday, we eventually got our order correct. A month later, I get a £50 charge from UKPC Ltd for parking in the McDonald's car park for more than 90mins they say is allowed despite being a customer that day. I appeal which is quickly dismissed (they just want easy cash). I speak to my solicitor who advises I should contact McDonald's direct. Several emails later, McDonald's has ignored all correspondence, they have only replied with a standard reference number & their customer services on the telephone can't or more likely won't help. My solicitor says I could challenge the charge by going to court & they would drop the charge (under Scottish Law) due to the expenses incurred in pursuing the charge but this would be after a debt recovery agent is appointed to harass for the money which would affect my excellent credit rating so I have had to pay this charge. I have worked out, I spend over £1,500 per annum with McDonald's which will now cease (I am now boycotting all McDonald's) & I shall now go to Greggs for my daily morning cappuccino (you get a bacon roll too for same money McDonald's want for a hot drink) & I'll now use Burger King instead for my children when they want a burger. Enjoy your mask wearing Dick Turpin earned £50 McDonald's, there are far better places to go with much better value for money than McDonald's, where they also don't charge you a ridiculous amount should you inadvertently through no fault of your own stay longer than you had...
