Meikle Ferry Station — Restaurant in Scotland

Stumbled upon this fantastic venue by chance today. Thank goodness I did, from the beginning to the end …. Amazing. So started the afternoon with a light lunch. Prawn cocktail, the prawns were so fresh and the full dish no matter how simply others may think it is, it was so tasty. The staff team, Nicola… what a power house and full of life and kindness. She made my friend and I so welcome. Amanda is the sweetest and loveliest young girl, again made us so very welcome. We were offered by Nicole that the owner Will did a free mini bus shuttle service and offered to collect us from our guest house as we planned to return for dinner. Spot on the time planned we were collected and driven to the restaurant. Reserved table awaited us and nothing we required was too much to ask for. Would highly recommend the Spaghetti Bolognaise stunning. My friend had the steak and sausage pie and couldn’t praise it enough. 1st time here and we found it easily. Parking was a bit of an issue due to nearby construction works by no hardship felt. The station was very clean with plenty room around the tables. The staff were pleasant and courteous and did not pester for our order. The food portion sizes were plentiful and the hot food was very hot. Just one problem crept up, the gravy in one meal was very salty which was dealt with by the staff when informed. I would definitely recommend and we will return in the future.

Lovely place great food and service. Dog friendly too which is a a rare find in this area. Sensible pricing, excellent coffee, friendly staff. Lovely gift shop too!!
