Memories of India — Restaurant in Scotland

We used to have such lovely experience having food from this restaurant. However, our last visit has completely disappointed us. It seemed that the restaurant has changed hands. We ordered a takeaway and was surprised to find a piece of burnt plastic in one of the curries. Once we found that, we could not finish our meal and was worried about the health and safety standards by these new owners. We rang to feedback on this, only to be told that there is no guarantee that we can get any refund back on a completely unsatisfactory (or even dangerous!) meal and they didnt seem sincere or concerned that something like that has happened. It was patronising that they just gave a verbal guarantee that this would not happen again. It is a true pity as the food under the previous owner was topnotch and held so many fond memories. We did have a pleasant experience ordering the food as the person across the line was polite. But this was all marred by the lack in caution for health and safety in food - people shouldnt have to worry about ordering food that would be detrimental to...

I wouldn't eat here again if you paid me this place is an insult to India, I'm very fond of Indian food and have tried many establishments but this one takes the medal for being the worst, it took 2 hours to arrive after phoning in on the estimated delivery we were met with an incompasionate laughter and an dismissive attitude of '10' minutes 10 turned into 30, the food was nearing cold, my mothers day treat was ruined, The lamb biriyani was a waste of money I don't know a lamb cut that has so much gristle, no marination and was extremely tough I had to spit 2 peices out they where inedible, the pashwari naan was soaking wet from condensation, mushroom pakoras where awful flavour,.the cucumber yoghurt tasted curdled what a waste of time and money and when we started asking for a refund we got £3 refund on £30 meal, cheap for a reason, we will...

A hidden jewel. This place offers a fantastic meal options and a great choice to pick from. The staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The food is fresh and very tasty and good sized portions. This place also offers takeaway and home delivery and these services were also busy whilst we were there indicating again that this is a good place to eat. There was 8 in our party and we all went home very happy with our food and already talking about going back. For anyone thinking of visiting I would highly recommend it as the place was cosy, very clean and had pristine white tablecloths and the front of house staff were a joy as nothing was every too...
