Disappointing, low quality with high prices. Had a take away as a treat for my son & myself after a hard week's work. Opened curry and settled in to watch a film. All dishes from pakora to bhoona have the same generic "curry" taste, no subtlety, no freshness, just a bland, but too hot flat sameness. I can make far better curries myself using fresh ingredients. Although this place looks "fancy" on the outside, inside it is no better than a so-so corner-shop takeaway anywhere in Glasgow. They only take cash, a bit inconvenient and unusual in a supposedly "upmarket" location? I suspect profiteering and lack of care or respect for customers is at play. Such a shame and a waste of my money at the end of a hard week and looking forward to a treat. Why not make better food and charge a bit more? Win-win. I was recommended this restaurant, however I was extremely disappointed. We ordered the chicken karahi and tandoori mixed grill with popadoms. First of all, the menus were filthy - they were sticky and we found long hair in one of the pages!! We also found a small eyelash hair in one of our popadoms. I ordered a glass of rosé, however I was given a red wine (although this was quickly resolved when I mentioned it to the waiter). When the karahi came, it more of a ready meal than a dish you’d find at a restaurant - lacking flavour and it wasn’t even karahi consistency in my opinion. Between my wife and I we've been loyal customers for over 10 years. Ordered a takeaway on 12th august 24 for a family dinner. When I got home I found a moth like creature in one of the takeaway foil tubs in amongst the food. The creature was still alive and struggling about. I phoned rasoi back and informed them I was returning the food. When I arrived and spoke to staff and the manager, I showed them then creature in the same tub which was still moving. I didnt make a scene as it wasnt a thing, I received a prompt refund and was ushered out the door. Most probably incase other customers came in.
