Always been keen on trying this place, I drive past alot at the wrong time of day mostly.
Gave it a go and its not bad not bad. Chips, good, fresh cut, plenty of crispy ones in the bottom of that's your thing. Nice potato flavour. Fish, it was OK, not good, not bad, 2 medium sized fillets, a bit on the oily side but a fair everyday bit of haddock. Batter had some crunch on the ends but again the oilyness took most of that crunch away. Fish flavour was a bit lacking on one of the fillets but that may just be luck of the draw.
Seasoning was a bit lacking but can't mark down on that, that's down to personal taste. Service was quick and efficent.
Overall I'd recommend, overall experience was postive, prices are very good for fresh food and I will...

I should also comment about the chips - really good, absolutely no oil left on them and the mushy peas...

Because the food is great, the staff are friendly and it's the only chip shop that I know of that serves cod, which I prefer more than haddock which is the standard fish supper around these parts. Enjoy supper at the quaint little Whitehills and a stroll around the picturesque harbour. We will...
