It was the monthly quiz night at The Rowan Tree Armadale, with the Host Ross!! Tai (Who is an asset to the company) seen us coming in and welcomed us and showed us to our seat! Brilliant its the seat we love......X Our pre drinks were taken and on our tale within minutes.... we had Bubbles (Prosecco) Cider and J20, PERFECTO. Ellie (with a smile, always) then came over and started our order.......Yum Yum get in my tum. So we had 2x Chilli Beef, 1x Cowboy burger and 1x Chicken burger. after a wee banter with Ellie and Tai we settled down and refreshed ourselves with our lovely cool drinks..... All the meals arrived with 10 minutes if that......WOW! super fast. The Chilli Beef was perfect, nacho chips crispy, beef was tender and it just had enough spice......great addition to this meal is the Jalapenos......It a Spiccccccy! Perfect. The cowboy burger was succulent and juicy.....Delicious! The Chicken burgh was crispy and juicy.....fabulous! after we had all cleared our plates Ellie and Tai cleared our table and returned with more drinks......FABULOUS! Now we were well watered and stuffed it was quiz time. We had such a laugh (mostly at ourselves as we are not the best at quizzing) but its not about winning its about the fun and taking part....Whoooop Whooop...... Thanks again for entertaining and feeding us at the Rowan Tree, Armadale. Wee shout out to Mandy and her team in the kitchen, our food is always perfect. Thank you.

Please let Craig know he has a fantastic team who have a passion for customer service and standards. 5...

6 of us for dinner, hadn't been for a good wee while due to COVID blah blah blah and won't be back again! The food is below average, felt as if everything that could be microwaved was even the mashed pots and veg. The mashed pots reminded me of a big dollop of playdoh with a skin covering it in a not so nice shade of yellow. You could stick the fork in and lift it off the plate without breaking the shape, quite impressive. The chicken and leak pie was dry, although you do get a tiny gravy boat with the pie I was expecting the pie to have a creamy sauce in it! The burger was crispy round the edges and quite hard as if pitt-tinged in the micro and the cheese wasn't even melted on the burger, that's how warm it was! The chips were cold asweell, the pudding not really a complaint only the apple caramel crumble with custard, it did say on menu that it had a crunchy oat crumble which is fine but what I didn't expect was what reminded me of dry apple and cinnamon ready oats from a big cereal company with a tiny gravy boat of custard to try and moisten things up, which failed miserably!!! The other puddings were ice cream and cake so can't really go wrong with them but will we be going back to Rowan Tree?? Nope X6 Not Recommended unless you like to eat a lot of cake...

Left with bad taste after nice meal!!

Food and service was nice for a birthday meal. The problem came paying the bill. It was £108 and I was given option on keypad to leave a tip? 15% 20% 25% or custom amount. I chose custom and blank page comes up and I put in £120 thinking that was total I was paying for my meal. I payed and walked away then my phone pinged and told me I had paid £228. I said to staff member I paid £120 on screen and she said right away really matter of fact and NOT surprised "yeah you just paid £120 tip" I spoke to manger who seemed annoyed and said to me "THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!! NOTHING TO DO WITH US IT'S HEAD OFFICE" I said surely if this is happening "ALL THE TIME" you should be pointing it out to customers as not everyone will have banking apps to alert them like the elderly? She shrugged and said its corporate nothing to do with us! I said again you and your staff are taking the payment so it is to do with you and the staff! She was NOT interested and took my details to send to head office for a refund. It was 7 days ago still waiting on my £120 refund. Check what your paying and your recipients when visiting here its a disgrace they know about this and allowing...

Lovely wee pub and restaurant. Booked a table in advance as wasn't sure how busy it would be midweek. We were greeted warmly and led straight to our table. We ended up asking to be moved to a new table due to the sun streaming in from the window, which was no trouble at all and we were moved immediately. Interior is spacious and open but also cozy. Only a short wait for the food which was delicious. I had the chicken burger with chips and a side salad. Food was piping hot, fresh and tasty. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The chicken burger was full of flavour. Only nitpick would be I'd have liked a dressing on the side salad. For dessert I had the chocolate orange sponge which was absolutely incredible. Sponge was light as air, filled with a sweet and sticky orange centre, smothered in chocolate and served warm with custard. Honestly one of THE BEST desserts I have ever eaten. All for a very reasonable price including drinks. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

The service was excellent. My grandson turned 18 and it was mentioned while ordering our food. He has Down Syndrome and was very excited to be out on a 'dinner date' with me. The food was excellent. There was live music which we hadn't expected which was also excellent. The waitress brought my grandson's dessert with a candle in it, which brought attention from the singer who then mentioned his name and wished him happy birthday. It was lovely. Not rowdy or loud, just a perfect night. We will be back for sure.

Went for lunch had a puppy and 2 kids the menu was very good as was the kids and DOG MENU🤣very good idea. The kids pizzas were good but the chicken club sandwich was very disappointing it wasn't a club sandwich just a bacon and chicken sandwich with some wilted lettuce and a slice of tomato 😫when mentioned the staff just said thanks for the feedback 🤔our server Chris was very nice would have been 5☆ if the sandwich had been a proper club sandwich a bit of false advertising there🤔
