Poor experience. Unfortunately the staff had a cold attitude and we were told we could only have takeaway because the upstairs was closed (at 3pm, closing time is 3:30). There were no cakes on display so we decided to order some for takeout as there was no other option. We were charged £3.95 for a VERY small piece of lemon drizzle which was gone in 3 small bites (the bottom had also been scraped off so was less than it looked). Prices are an absolute ripoff for what you get. Cheesecake tasted better but was no way worth £5.95 for the portions given. Felt like we were an inconvenience to staff who couldn't wait to close up.

If you need somewhere to eat when you’re passing through Arisaig, make sure you try Soundbites. They are by far the best place to eat in the area! The burgers are amazing, try the highland burger, so big and tasty. And the chicken burger is pretty good too. Also, look out for their takeaway nights like Wok n Roll, best noodles we have had since living in Asia. Great view from the upstairs area, perfect for enjoying a coffee and a piece (or two) of their cheesecake 🤤 Oh and should probably mention Bob & Cassie who are great for a chat and will brighten your day. Thanks guys ❤️

Really nice café with a view of the harbour and bay. Music themed with a fantastic selection of vintage Soul and R and B playing when we visited, the volume wasn't loud for those with sensory issues. The French toast with fruit is really recommended by the whole family, very generous portions and delicious! Nice coffee and good sized pot of green tea, friendly staff and clean covid safe venue. We enjoyed our visit.

I had the ceasar salad one day I was there and it was delicious. Thank you Bob the amazing chef and new owner of SoundBites. Very fresh and loaclly sourced ingredients used too. The staff are great. You can have a banter with them and the locals too. Thanks Cassie you are always happy to chat and offer suggestions to visitors on where to vist in the surrounding area. Each place in Arisaig that offers food & drink and/ or accommodation support each other. Its a great wee community. Looking forward to our next visit mid July. We were there for the Folk festival at beginning of June. We were treated to a wee folk players' gathering on the Sunday as about 12 players came by for a wee drink, snacks and to play together for fun after the festival had come to a close. The various tourists and locals alike enjoyed the music along with their food, smoothies, milkshakes, coffees or even a wee drink. The cakes made by Maggie were melt in the mouth. I had the salted caramel/ toffee chunk filled cheese cake. The portion size was huge. (Nearly never finished it. May need a takeout dish for any leftovers next time). Anyway thank you to all the staff for great service, great food and drinks and for making us feel...
