Speldiburn Café — Restaurant in Scotland

Loved loved loved the carrot-sweet potato soup! Over 12 days since my Scotland trip started and this is the first time someone has prepared food with such brilliant use of spice and heat. Not super loud or intense. But not disappearing, either. Perfect for some comfort on a windy day. Then came the pecan/coffee cake - brilliantly rich!

Also, absolutely loved the thrift store. I wish this was my last stop and I could have bought everything and just flown home😂👀🙊 (probably kills the purpose of thrifting though so yayy for mindful purchases).

This is a lovely little cafe situated on a beautiful island! We were out for a day cycling while visiting on a cruise, and stopped in for a cup of coffee.
