Talla na Mara Community Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

I want to be positive because it's a community project. The space is wonderful (clean toilets, lovely small shops and an exhibition) but the cafe let it down. It's incredibly expensive for supermarket bread sandwiches. There was only 1 soup option which absolutely wouldn't be for everyone (parsnip & apple) and limited sandwich choices. We were given the wrong type of sandwich initially too. The lady seating us was friendly enough but the rest of the staff didn't look remotely happy. We visited some of the independent artists and the lady with the watercolours was very friendly and welcoming. We didn't realise we would have to book to eat and had a wait. I can see why some of the food trailers along the coast...

We have been here for two nights and facilities are amazing as is the view. Very clean toilets/showers/wash up area. Staff are incredible...cannot do enough for you. They are so hard working and even under pressure they are so kind and professional. We are currently experiencing very strong winds and the pitch we are on is open but the young lad who makes amazing coffees came straight down to us with a colleague to see if they could assist. Run as a community restaurant that we would be very proud to be a part of if we lived...

We have Eaten here a couple of Times, during our stay on Harris... Lovely Food, Polite friendly service...Amazing views out across the Stunning Beach of Horgabost.... Snacks and more substantial meals are available, Hot drinks, Beers... It gets very busy here, but the staff will do there Best to Accommodate you with a Table... There are also Blackboard Specials and a Delicious Sweet 😋 😍 Menu.... Enjoy 😉 Russ...
