To start, the service is the worst I have ever had. Rude and condescending waitstaff. They asked if we had reservations when we walked in, when there were several open tables. They made a big production out of it when there were several open tables and it remained that way our entire visit. We actually were about to leave bc they were so weird about it. Very pushy and will hurry you to order. Immediately after sitting, they came and snatched the drink menu off the table without asking if we had a moment to look at it. When I asked the waiter for a recommendation, he told me to get some dish and that Iād like it because itās not spicy. That felt slightly racist. What, I donāt like spicy food bc Iām white?!?! I love spicy food, so I certainly didnāt appreciate that. My friends ordered the chicken korma and chicken tikka masala, which were actually inedible. I donāt say that lightly. Itās actually the first restaurant we have ever been to where we felt that way. It was very sweet, had a pink chemically looking color, and had a coconut taste!!! The sag paneer was also gross, and kind of tasted like olives. Food does not come with complementary rice or naan, which is odd. Never have I eaten Indian without that being included⦠If you feel compelled to eat here, make sure to ask the waitstaff if the dish is spicy or sweet, and I encourage you to tell them to make it authentic. Just be aware that theyāll be pushy and try to get you to order something that they want. Another odd thing to note-they will (again, aggressively) try to get you to use cash to pay. They told my friend, ālook you pay cash youāll get a discount! No cash, no discount!ā They asked her several times for cash pay! To me, I feel like theyāre trying to avoid paying taxes by getting you to pay with cash. Go to one of the other spots on the island, please.
Update The tikla masala and korma were actually chasni style, and there is no indication on the menu that the food deviates from what is normal. Tikka masala was invented in Scotland by an Indian immigrant. It should have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is located in scotland , isle of skye . I wanted to give one star but it would be a little more terrible . They really need to change there cook as the food needs a bit more taste . I mean it's not up to the standard of the taste you get in Akbar's or royal nawab in manchester . It is expensive then much better resturants which is so upsetting !! Food was not tasty but okay just to get a touch of sone desi food, and when they came for order they don't know much about the dishes and the portions in it ! I ordered a BBQ platter but there were only two chicken tikkas , a single sheesh kebab , one onion bhaji pakora , and he told us it would be enough for two people . So when it came i was surprised as the size of the serving was for a miniature person š² ... They were not good with the menu as they don't have a clue about dishes in menu. Prices are not according to the taste of the food !!! They did not have any variety in the drinks which is such a big bummer . I ordered 7UP but he said they don't have it , i can order FANTA but then he forgot the drinks . When i asked him he said okay i bring it sorry ,which is okay not a problem but when he came and said they don't have that at all , i was so angry as these are the basic soft drinks every resturant keeps !! But they don't have it . Then he told me that i can order orange juice or apple juice so i ordered orange juice which was not at all tasty . I felt funny but may be it was a different brand . Overall the sitting area , ambiance is not what i would like to get in a resturant . As far as the covid precautionz are concerned they put up plastic sheilds kind of thing between the tables but no windows in the sitting area so it was totally closed which is definetly not good for covid now a days ... I would not go here unfortunately as there are alot of better options, food wise and price wise !!! Price is not matching with the food and service they provide . Hope they can make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDamn..why the hack we are not reading Google reviews before going anywhere, I missed even after driving for 400 miles to Isle and landed on hell to get myself disrespected by People from Bangladeshi who actually filling their pockets in name of "taste of India"
I'm fine eve after you use other country name with 150cr beautiful people to earn, but at least give respect to those people when they come to your place for dining.
I asked for baby high chair, the guy in black & white waiter dress, challenged my kid capability whether she can seat or not, with multiple requests , he gave the worst chair with bad expressions. Next he started behaving rude and asked to order food altogether, as and well he calculated that order total is £65 for 2 pax, his behaviour got worst and he moved to other group of 15 pax doing Christmas party where total bill could be around £500-600. If it's all about making huge bill to get respect. sorry, you should go back to where you belongs.
Food overall - salty (because sea water is being used???, lol. Work on your chef)
All staff except one local lady (who was polite) is genuinely rude and unprofessional.
Attitude- 0 Either restaurant owner is not paying good salary or waiter is too greedy to drop everybody till car park for tips.
Professionalism: 0 Please don't fight you guys (waiter, chef and other staff) in front of your guests to divide tips amount and why you asked for more tips even after huge bill things and behave childish for tips amount.. guys, are we in Scotland or some poor country where white colour job people are fighting for £20-£50 tips amount???
