The Barn Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

I’m not typically the type to leave reviews but was in this evening and was served by a lovely young man with tattoos who was happy to give me some recommendations for items on the menu I felt bad for him as his boss was seeming to be a bit harsh on him and was shouting at him as we where going to pay. food was superb I ended up getting the chicken roast. my father at the table did have to send back sausage’s they where a bit cold. We called up to make reservations for our big group for du day evening over call, they informed us that they have place, when we reached the host who was very friendly informed us that there is not enough space but we can sit outside, however the server told us it’s too cold outside and he won’t serve any food outside. We were told to buy take away, the host was very kind to bring it till our RV. However the food options were limited, and the quality.. everything was dryyyyyyy… so dry that we couldn’t finish it.

Found this restaurant by accident when walking back from the beach to the road - very glad we did! The food was just fantastic! We had a table by the window and the setting was very relaxed. My husband ordered fish and chips and I the chickpea curry. Food arrived quickly and was very very yummy 😋. The fish was huge and in a lovely batter. I don't eat big portions but I so wished my stomach was larger so I could have finished my curry - spicy and full of umami, healthy and filling. There was good music playing in the background!
