Boyfriend and I arrived about 6:30pm. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated quickly enough. I had my heart set on the Seafood Mixed Grill. So when our waitress mentioned the foods they didn't have. I was pleased as the Seafood Mixed Grill wasn't mentioned. We ordered drinks. 1 x Coke Zero 1 x Lemonade and Lime. Drinks arrived. I didn't get lime in my lemonade but who cares. Time to order our meals. I asked for the Seafood Mixed Grill only to be told that was off the menu. Gutted!! My boyfriend ordered The Katsu Chicken and I ordered Salmon. Waiting time on our meals wasn't long considering how busy both the restaurant and bar were. Say 10-15mins wait. Our meals arrived. I was starving. I looked at my boyfriends ate. Oh my god!! Looks amazing and a big portion. My Salmon arrived. I was disappointed. Handful of chips and the roasted veg mentioned on the menu as an accompanyments, was 4 bits of pepper!! I'm starving!! Thank god the Boyf got onion rings!! Katsu Chicken came with rice and chips. Salmon came with chips, tomatoes on the vine (3 tiny tomatoes) and 4 bits of roasted pepper. Oh and a small side salad (dressing was nice). Hardly anything on the plate for a person who was starving. I only eat fish. So limited. Boyf only has good things to say about Katsu Chicken. I had a taste of the sauce. Very nice. Reminded me of the curry sauce you would get out the butchers in the yellow packet. Salmon was beautiful. I cannot fault the meal apart from portion size. Another wee scoop of chips and a wee bit more roasted veg would've given this review a better score. Main meal pics added. Still hungry we decided to have a dessert. Boyf got the cookie dough cheesecake. I got the 3 scoops of ice cream Banana and Butterscotch Chocate and Belgian truffle Eton mess Sorry no pics Desserts were nice. Not going to score the desserts cause if you can't get a cheesecake and ice cream right. Then you shouldn't be in business. All in all it was OK. Will go back but only because I want to try the Seafood Mixed Grill.

Brilliant rustic, cosy pub and restaurant. Have been going here for years although don’t manage to get in regularly because it’s a bit out of the way. Stopped today for lunch and had a delicious meal. I started with squid while my partner had the bang bang cauliflower. Squid was excellent with the most delicious sauce and my girlfriend’s cauliflower was also fantastic, almost resembling vegetable pakoras. The starters were only 3.49 to add on with the lunch menu. For mains I had the lunch mini grill which came with gammon, chicken, sausage, chips, peas and a tomato. All of it was fantastic although special call out to the gammon steak which was very juicy and tasty. My girlfriend had the chicken and bacon ciabatta which she thoroughly enjoyed. Service was excellent with drinks coming within a minute or two. Food was also served very quickly. We didn’t have our dog with us but the bar part is dog friendly. They also serve pupacinos. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had been here before quite a few times. We visited on mother's day this year and from beginning to end it was absolutely atrocious. We had booked a table and when we arrived after giving our booking details left standing around 5mins waiting. Thinking there was a mix up with the bookings as two members of staff mulled over the bookings book. Finally shown to out table with no explanation for the long wait. We were handed set menus which when my husband booked had not been advised. Issue we have is I currently am struggling with eating due to severe damage to my jaw from arthritis and am recovering from surgery and have more to come. As we have visited before we knew that there were some soft choices available. But not on the set menu today. So embarrassingly we had to ask. It took 2 staff members to confirm they could do me a lasagne. We waited for our 3 meals and a girl came out with mine and questioned if there were others to come as there was nothing else in the kitchen ready to come out. We explained yes a steak and a kids meal. She asked if she should leave me with my meal or should she take it away. I said no take it away but I don't want it just kept warm to try out by the time the other meals are ready. She took it away and by thus time I just wanted to leave. We were over heard talking about how disappointed we were and another waitress appeared to take control and assured us she would go and see what was going on. She left and then a waiter appeared with my lasagne and a kids meal. At which point the waitress appeared saying oh the steak is just coming. It was like something from faulty towers! Well my daughters chicken nuggets 4 of them looked like they had been sat out for a week. My lasagne looked like leftovers with loads of cheese grated over the top. You could not see layers of lasagne sheets when I cut into it at all. It was mush. My husband was really upset but he decided we would not to speak to management as far to much damage had been caused and we decided we will NEVER return. So time to get the bill. My husband looked confused when it arrived as it said steak, kids meal and cod and chips. We DIDNT have cod and chips!!! So called a waitress over who looked at it tried to explain and said no, actually wait I 'll go and check this. She returned and explained it was wrong (like we didn't know this already) that the cod and chips was €1 dearer than the lasagne and she had kindly deducted it off our bill. We paid and left to never return to Faulty Bells again. Needless to say my mother's day meal out had...

Used to love this place- had some cracking meals here before and during the pandemic. Not today! I booked for Mother's day, paid a deposit too, but my Mum and I were very disappointed. We were expecting a beautiful roast with all the trimmings: the menu sounded thoughtfully put together with nice flourishes including roast potatoes with rosemary and garlic. However, my Mum was given what appeared to be tiny air-fried potatoes that were tasteless and totally dehydrated. Portion sizes were disappointing too- two tiny slivers of carrot, one tiny half floret of broccoli, and barely any gravy.

We waited for 55 minutes for our meals, and when we explained there was a problem, staff actually attempted to snatch my Mum's plate away, leaving her with nothing. Also didn't make clear to us until I settled the bill that the cost of her meal would be deducted from the total. What should have been a lovely Mum and daughter lunch was left sadly lacking.

Fair play to the young chap at the bar whom I settled the bill with. He was genuinely sorry we hadn't had a good experience and was honest about things not being great today.

I won't be back- especially as I saw people around us who were waiting even longer than we were. Why were you sitting people down if you couldn't cope with the numbers and serve the food described in your menu? And why did it take an hour to serve a roast? Not good...
