Hello I’m sorry to say I had a very unpleasant time eating at the Cameron house clubhouse. First of all the waiters and waitresses were not attentive to our table once sat down and I had to repeatedly get up and ask for our order to be taken for food and multiple drinks orders. The worst part being able to see the staff stand at the bar on their phones. The food was a disaster and over priced. I ordered the chicken breast, bacon, mash and veg. It came without any bacon and when I queried it to the waitress said she would bring it out but it never arrived. I ordered the sticky toffee pudding for desert which I was looking forward to after a round of golf. However when it arrived I quickly realised it was still frozen. I quickly handed this back to the waitress and another one came out 10 mins after my group had finished their deserts. When the bill came the staff had the cheeky to add a service charge for the meal. I paid it but on hind sight I should have asked for it to be removed! It was really disappointing as we had a great day at the golf but the clubhouse meal really the let the place down! Not where near a 5 star resort!...

We are here as part of the spa deal we had booked. The menu was simple yet everything we liked.

We had the Leek and potato soup and the potted ham hough which again was also very nice. Next was pan roasted chicken on a bed of salsa and some tenderstem broccoli and the mushroom risotto.

The chicken was well cooked, the mushroom risotto was disgusting. It had a funny sharp flavour, overcooked, looked and tasted wrong.

The server asked how it was, we said awful and we were offered another main. We were running out time, needing to get back home and so declined this and was asked to wait a minute while she speaks to her manager.

10mins pass and we are told that her manager is speaking to the spa reception to see if there is anything they could do. Another 10mins pass and I said we can't wait any longer and was advised someone will be in contact with us, using our booking details from the spa.

To this date, nobody has bothered to contact us. Now having spent over £300 on the spa day, this was a complete let down and fell short of the reputation of Cameron House and their star rating. Really disappointed given how...

For Cameron House to advertise this as one of there hotel restaurant offerings is surprising. Service went from being over attentive to non existent after a large booking came in. Starters of haggis, neeps & tatties and asparagus with poached egg were uninspiring and disappointingly bland. Fish and chips main, the batter on the fish was very obviously undercooked just by looking at the colour of it (pale yellowish white). Batter was therefore sloppy. Burger was wetherspoons esque standard, didn't seem homemade. Desserts (choc torte & cheesecake) seemed frozen and lacked much taste. Asked for 2 espresso and were given espresso cups filled to the brim, more like an...

We visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We were assisted by a very lovely gentleman called Craig. We both opted for the Braised Beef which was an absolute delight to eat. Exceptionally well cooked and incredibly delicious. For dessert my partner had the Chocolate Torte and I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding, again both were super tasty. The restaurant itself is decorated in a stylish manner but still retains a warm and inviting atmosphere, it was very comfortable to relax in whilst enjoying our lunch. I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.

A disappointing experience. The half-empty restaurant was fully staffed, yet despite having a reservation, we were shown to an unclean table, where we had to wait nearly 60 minutes for our food. At the prices charged, we expect a much higher quality of service and atmosphere, especially given the plethora of alternatives nearby with exceptional service. We were also unsure as to why the plate features a piece of paper, which disintegrates, requiring you to actively avoid eating it (see photo).

While traveling through Loch Lomond and staying at Cameron House, we heard about this restaurant and its Michelin-starred chef—and knew we had to try it. It absolutely lived up to the hype. From the exceptional service to the exquisite food and perfectly curated wine pairings, every detail was flawless. The seven-course tasting menu was a true culinary journey, and the service stood out as some of the best we’ve ever experienced. Truly unforgettable—there’s nothing more we could have asked for.
