No food tested, as the inn has just reopened.. Not serving alchahol either yet. HOW EVER this little bar, in a small village, is desperately trying to get a foot hold into the community. New managers are lovely and very hospitable. Currently they are open and charging a corkage. But go there for some amazing atmosphere and meet some of the locals. For those living in palnackie, this bar is a lifeline. I visited palnakie two weekends ago, and was given a very warm welcome. I sat, got involved in a quiz, drank my own alchahol and enjoyed a free plate of chips.

It's fantastic, very clean and warm inside. All the staff were really friendly. We hadn't booked but they managed to get us in. It was only £6 for a pint and a pinot which was a bonus. I had a home made soup and then a curry and my wife had a veggie lasagne. All the food was delicious and the chef even asked how it was which was a nice touch. We come to Scotland every year and this will be on our must visit list now. It was the perfect end to a perfect day....

On leaving the pub a local customer screamed out loud enough for the entire pub to hear " Tourist, tourist, go on then f**k off back to where you came from"
