We bought two coffees and agree with others that they were very small, even for a flat white. The two girls who were serving were nice and friendly but we did wonder if they could cope with a big queue of folk. We got a French cake (Canele) which was a dark colour, not like the photo on here! It was rubbery and did not live up to the fancy name, it was without flavour!
Our biggest disappointment was with the Victoria sponge. A decent size of slice but cutting into the sponge, it was dense and had no ‘sponge’ left. The icing was very cold and the overall experience was of a cake which had been frozen or kept in a very cold fridge! After a swim I love a cake and a coffee. They ran out of tomato sauce and she replace with garlic lemon - such an amazing combo !!!
Flat whites and crepes were spectacular too!
The area is very nice, there’s swimming bits but it seems we came just before the season was on - so the space to rent gear or wetsuits was closed, which was a bit of shame.
