This used to be run by Fife Council but they gave up, which was a pity because its the only place in the area to get a coffee, something to eat or use the toilet. However it's now privately run. The doorway at the top of stairs on the side of the building used to be for takeaway but you now use the main entrance into the cafe for take away and sit in. There is a disabled ramp with extra wide doors at the main entrance. This is where the toilets are, too. I stopped for a latte, tin of juice and two bacon rolls to go and at £14 I felt was a bit expensive but as I mentioned earlier it's the only cafe in the area. This is a great place to chill whilst on your Outlander tour, walking down from Ravenscraig Park ( access via the beach on the opposite side of the harbour or up Hot Pot Wynd) or whilst just visiting Dysart, the beachfront or harbour. If you are entering or exiting from the main door, beware of the main road as there is no footpath on the cafe side. The servers were polite, prompt, and well presented. This cafe is...

This place needs closed down immediately. First thing I'm doing tomorrow is phone environmental health. Sat in cafe and watched the staff prepare food not one of them washed hands at all they do not wear gloves or wash hands between each order but worst was a guy with long dark/grey hair who kept running his hand through his long hair to stop it getting in his eyes while preparing food it was disgusting no hair nets no washing hands preparing one meal after another the cross contamination is horrendous especially when using dirty dish towels to dry dishes wipe down units then dry dishes again and again. He also had his son in the cafe and the wee boys game machine he had did not work so the cook/dad was also trying to fix that and yet again no washing of hands while running hands through hair throughout the whole time we spent in there.another was wiping sweat of his nose as he continued to make food it was disgusting thank god we only had coffee as it was giving us the boke just watching this disgusting staff....

Drop in with friends for coffee & scones whilst walking coastal path. I had been praising this place & looking forward to our coffee break. However lattes were lukewarm but we drank them anyway. When paying bill i was asked by very pleasant waitress if all had been ok with service that day. I said we had enjoyed our visit however lattes had been lukewarm. She apologised but was intercepted by tall dark haired man i presumed to be in charge & he said if we had wanted hotter lattes we should have asked for that on ordering. I said sorry i wasn't aware of that rule. I then said maybe waiters should ask preference when placing order. He very rudely said it the place of the customer to request. My party of 3 were dismayed to be treated in this way. I was not asking for any reduction in costs but only replied to question asked by staff. What happened to being polite & grateful for custom. Very bad attitude to display to staff. Doesnt deserve to get...

A really splendid cafe in a refurbished property at the harbourside in Dysart. There’s a pretty harbour right there and coastal walks to Kirkcaldy and a local park. The cafe itself is fresh and new and generally speaking a nice place to sit and enjoy a good coffee or a nice lunch. I can report on the coffee and accompaniment. The chocolate brownie I had was fine and, while I’d only give the scone I had an average mark, the jam served with it was of the poorest quality - plasticky, gelatinous stuff served in a tiny plastic container. I can’t understand the logic of this. Why go to the trouble of serving home-baked goods and then offering a sub-standard commercial jam. The staff, by the way, were very friendly and helpful

An awful service , an awful atmosphere, not to talk about the food. They served the wrong order. 4 pieces of really soggy bread that they call "french toast" and I paid for it £8 and I could not eat there because they said that the place was full (despite the tables being half empty). When I called back pointing out that my order was not correct, the waiter said to go back there that they would rectify it, like a person has all day to go back and forth to have some lunch. Attonished at how bad this place is!!!!
